Hi Jennifer, I love using different embossing folders. I love the depth and variety you can create using the folder the right way and the de-bossed way.
    Thanks!

  3. Evelyn B says:

I go in spurts using the embossing folders and stencils. I always enjoy working with them and especially love the quilting technique they give to a quilt type card. I forget them so need to use them more often as they create such an interesting background to work with. Thanks for showing us your favorite ones.

  8. Tammie J. says:

I think I only used a stencil once – on my holiday cards last year. I have used embossing folders from time to time over the years. Honestly, I don’t know why I don’t use them both more. They are such an easy way to make a big impact on a card.

  9. Dionne says:

I have never used embossing folders since I don’t have a die cutting machine but I have used stencils.

I have a ton of embossing folders and love the look, but of course, don’t always remember to use them. I have a lot of stencils too, but it’s a love/hate relationship. They are so beautiful, and I want to use them, but often the results are less than stellar. I know…practice. 🙂

  12. Amanda Hays says:

I have used both! I have quite a few embossing folders, but only 1 stencil.

  13. Leann Duff says:

I use embossing folders quite a bit. I use them with my Original Sizzix so I can control the pressure. I’ve only begun dabbling in stencils. Your techniques inspire me to want to get more involed with stencils. Thank you!

I love stencils, they are so versatile. I use them a lot with my card making and also with my monoprinting on a Gelli plate. I have a few embossing folders but they’re tucked away with my diecutting machine – in its box!!! shows how much use it gets!

  21. Jackie P says:

I have a few stencils & folders, I have noticed from videos how. there is a huge amount of variety you can get off them, I must admit I do have the MFT clouds stencil & their hills & drifts one but none of the others. I have a few embossing folders but am just getting into using them but love how usable they are but I have never seen any of the beautiful ones you have shown for this year before they are all divine x Thank you for another great video x

  32. I love using stencils and embossing folders. The cloud and drift dies from MFT are my new favorites- they help make stunning backgrounds a total breeze. I just started experimenting with stencils. I have some from MMHero Arts card kits, and I purchased Altenew’s Cube Builder after watching Laura Bassen make a fun card with it. Your favorite stencils might become my favorite stencils too as I saw what you did with them.
