I like cards that are a bit different… a bit unexpected. Today’s card designs offer this and are very simple!
Instead of just adding a stamped panel on the front of the card, I made the stamped panel a mini card (or flap) and added it a solid background. Just for something different!
My first card features the oh-so-pretty-and-classic stamp set from the Gina K Merry and Bright Kit. In the video I show how I used Sponge Daubers to multi-ink the pine and pine cones. For shimmer and shine, I used my Wink of Stella Clear Shimmer Marker and gold heat embossed the sentiment from the Gina K Dazzling Dahlia Stamp Set (GKD | SSS). The stamping is all on a 3 1/4″ x 5″ mini white notecard.
I stamped the Darkroom Door Elegant Script Stamp on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ kraft cardstock panel and added another piece behind it for stability. I then adhered the mini card on top of the kraft piece and added Lucy’s Cards Ice Cube Jewels for accents.
My next example showcases the Gina K Festive Foliage Stamp Set (GKD | SSS). This set is a classic! I used the holly images from this set and created the berries with Nuvo Drops. I did change up the overall design a bit by using a flap element that is 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.
The sentiment is also from the Gina K Dazzling Dahlia Stamp Set (GKD | SSS). I am using this set a lot!
My last card uses the Gina K Perfect Poinsettia Stamp Set (GKD | SSS). I have been using this set a lot this season! (I used it over in the Online Card Classes Merry Making Class, too.) This flower is very easy to line up and creates gorgeous results.
In the center of my poinsettia, I added both Copper Penny and Golden Sunset Glitter Nuvo Drops and I love the resulting texture!
