My favorite way to color is with watercolor pencils. I also like to use dye inks and a water brush to watercolor, but either way it’s a forgiving technique!

  2. I do enjoy using my Copics, but I am by no means an expert, PLUS I have a rather limited colour palette, since they’re a rather pricey investment… I try to get a marker or two with every crafty order, and that way am slowly building a reasonable colour collection. I love my Distress Inks (mostly have the minis) – I enjoy them for blending, smooshing, watercolouring, even stamping (the MISTI helps)… I think they’re my favourite medium!

  3. Jennifer S says:

Great tips and ideas as always! The only method I really color with currently, is with distress inks. I really want to venture into other mediums though!

  4. Jenny D says:

I love my Prismacolor pencils for colouring in stamped images and using odourless solvent to get a nice blend. I so want to get some Tombow markers but I’m waiting for the 96 pack to come down in price from Amazon.

  5. Kim Dessormeau says:

Love using markers and pencils to color images. I use markers on my stamps too to get a multi-color image !

  6. Janey Y says:

My favorite coloring method would definitely be a water pen over the zig clean color markers!

  7. Eve says:

I love watercoloring, and in fact, I just ordered 60 Zig watercolor brush pens, and I’m anxiously waiting for them!

  8. Sarah Mulholland says:

My favorite is distress as well!

  9. Debbie A Smith says:

I too love Prismacolor Color pencils and I am not ashamed to tell you that I have 3 sets. I also love Prismacolor markers. I feel the same way about alcohol markers as do you do about watercolor.

  10. Jan G says:

My favorite coloring medium is the real clean color brushes followed close by the distress markers. Both mediums allow me to blend the way I like. I am going to buy some Bristol and try it!

  11. I love to use watercolor brushes

  12. Cynni says:

I love doing the watercolor method with my tombows. I just learned this technique. I mostly used my tombows for brush lettering (which i’m not so good at it haha) but now I love to use it for background coloring for my cards 🙂

  13. Andrea D says:

I love my Copics and my Caran D’ache Supracolor Soft. These are Top quality water-soluble colour pencils.

  14. Judi C says:

Even tho I’ve had them for years, I still love my Tombow dual tip markers. I also enjoy watercoloring with Distress Markers but am still very much a novice at it. Thanks, again, for all the great information.

  15. Beth Bo. says:

Copic coloring or distress inks rank up there as my favorites.

  16. I do love the Zig Clean Color Brush Pens but I’m not that good at using them!

  17. Lissette says:

  19. I love using brush markers. And coloring with distress is also a lot fun.

  20. mkross says:

I love using the Copic markers but don’t have that many of them. I do have the ZIG Clean color markers and they are fantastic, as well!!!! The distress inks are soooo much fun to use and I love them, too. So, as you can see, these are my favorites – I don’t have just one.

  21. ejnov says:

Coloring with markers is my favorite but the Zig Real Brush set looks very tempting for sure. Hello Christmas wish list! LOL

  22. Carolyn Hargrave says:

For sure my favorite coloring method is now the zig clean color real brush markers. I so love the shading that I am able to get with such a little bit of work and/or talent. I have struggled with real water colors and felt defeated until I was able to get some of the zig markers and I love them so much!! I still reach for my colored pencils and distress ink pads for certain projects but I love to just sit and color with my zig markers. Very good investment!!

  23. ElaineBC says:

I much prefer coloring with Prismacolor pencils. I do have some copics but have difficulty blending with them. I also like to do watercoloring. I must admit I am not great at coloring but I do enjoy it and I am reasonably happy with my results.

  24. Betsy l says:

I obey the zig markers! My coloring tool of choice by far! Great blending and great spectrum of color options.
