I love Distress inks. I’m relatively new to stamping and would love to win the Altenew ink pads! Thanks so much for the chance to win!

  5. Toni says:

For sentiments, versafine no doubt. For effects, distress inks.

  6. Michelle C says:

I use distress inks a lot for blending and watercolouring. The VersaFine in Onyx Black is my go-to for stamping.

  7. Amber says:

I just ordered some, so I haven’t used them yet, but I love the mini distress inks and how they can be nearly stored in the tin!

  8. Ashley says:

I’m new to cardmaking and I am loving versamark for heat embossing and the SSS hybrid inks! It’s very challenging to limit my new crafting addiction! 🙂

For basic stamping and outlines my favourite would be the Ranger jet black archival ink. But I like making backgrounds with the distress inks.

  12. Pat C says:

Again, not a fair question! 🙂

I love distress inks. I love all the techniques you can do with them. But I love the Memento black/brown inks bc I have fallen in love with Copics!

Thanks for the chance to win a great prize!

  13. I love these videos. They are so helpful! I am still trying to find a favorite ink. I own a lot of Stampin Up inks because my husband bought them all at once as a gift for me but I found many of the colors were dried out upon opening them or need reinking a lot. I just bought a Simon Says Stamp ink which I am actually quite impressed with but I haven’t been able to find a reinker for it, so if there are no reinkers then that might be an issue for me when it comes to buying more. I hoping I can find a set that meets my needs soon. I would like Distress Inks but since there not meant for stamping then it will still leave me searching I’m afraid.

  14. Lucy says:

Your comment about shoes fit… Depending on the the desired outcome depends on the type of ink.. If I had to choose one favorite it would be, Distress ink because of its versatility. Thank you for all the great information. Have a great day.

  15. Noreen says:

I haven’t used a lot of inks, mostly StazOn. It would be lovely to win a variety of colors – thanks for the chance.

From my small selection of ink pads my favorite is Versafine Onyx Black. But I am still hoping to try out distress ink pad one day then it may become my favorite for backgrounds.

  19. Lucinda says:

My favorites are distress inks because you can use them in so many ways . Although I seem always reach for my staz on . Thank you Jennifer for being so kind and giving, you are a wonderful person.

  20. KGB says:

I love my Distress inks – the variety of colors & versatility are amazing! I’ve just dipped my toes into the alcohol marker pool, so thanks for the suggestions on Copic-friendly inks!

  21. Hanne Lobbestael says:

I started out with the inked from Papertrey ink and that is what I still use 95% of the time. I’m not that adventurous with ink

  22. Rosali says:

I recently discovered Lawn Fawn Inks and I really like them as dye ink!! But many recommended Altenew inks to me as well and I would be thrilled to win them!! ❤❤❤

  23. Thanks for another informative video. My favorite ink, by far is Versa Fine Onyx Black. I use it for most of my stamping, I love the crisp image that it gives. I do a lot of water coloring and it’s a great ink for that.

  24. I am a dye ink girl. The only pigment ink I have is white. My favorite inks are from SSS and Lawn Fawn.

  25. Judy Estrada says:

  30. Marilyn says:

I love Versafine black ink for sentiments and also embossing with clear embossing powder- so much neater than using black embossing powder. My main go to ink is Momento Tuxedo Black for the little bit of Copic coloring I do.

  31. Charlotte says:

I’m such a newbie, I haven’t got a favourite yet. I’m finding your videos wonderful teaching tools.

  32. Rnruns60 says:

I wish I’d watched this video before I bought a bunch of different inks and didn’t know what I was doing or the difference between them . Your videos are the most helpful Of any I’ve watched about card making. So far I guess my favorites are Stampin Up and Momento. Love the Momento for copic coloring and Versafine onyx for sentiments.

  33. Patdmc211 says:

When I first started stamping 15+ years ago there weren’t a lot of choices in my area. I started with Colorbox pigment wheels (because I love to emboss with clear), VersaMark, and StazOn. I had a set of 48 water pulse pencils by Faber Castill. I still use all of those items. I have NEVER needed to reink ANY of those stamp pads but did have one color wheel dry out completely due to a crack in the case. Have tried a few Stampin Up inks but not impressed. I love Momento Tuxedo Black for my watercolouring. Last yr bought 8 mini sets of Distress. Those are my fav since I can watercolor with them. Love to try new products!!

  34. Annebara says:

Thanks again for doing these videos! Here in the Netherlands most stamps are not photopolymer and the Lawn Fawn inks really dont work with them. The new Ranger dye inks do work like a charm. I also hope they will release a lot of new colors the coming CHA mega show.

  35. Erica Miskel says:

You definitely don’t have to apologize for long videos! We love them! And the new Ranger Dye Inks are my favorite too! I only have 2 right now, but I want them all haha. I’m also hoping they continue the line with more colors. 🙂

  36. lisa808 says:

My favorite ink is Versafine Onyx Black. It always stamps good, I can emboss with it, and the pad never seems to need to be reinked!

  37. Happy Expressions says:

I like the distressed inks best for backgrounds but for regular stamping the archival inks.

  38. My favourite inks are: Tim Holtz mini distress inks and Ranger Dye inks.. I can not live without them. I just love make background with distress inks.. Thanks for another informative video and for the chance to win!

  39. Silvia says:

I love this video! I’ve learned so much, thanks!!!
I coudn’t live without versafine onyx black and versamark!!!

  40. Deb says:

My favorite ink is the Hero Arts Black you have mentioned in your video. My next would be my versafine. I also use distress inks frequently but I do feel these dry out a bit. I have not tried any others yet but would love to. Thank you for the videos they are a great inspiration and help narrow down what I might buy.

  41. ana manzana says:

  42. Mateja P says:

I love Hero Arts Shadow inks 🙂 And I love Distress ink. And Versamark. And Versafine. And Memento inks. I love every singe ink I own for a different reason 😛

    ~Gin K.~

  45. Alecia B says:

I have a “SLIGHT” obsession with Distress Inks and Simon Says Stamp inks!!
But my most used ink is my VersaFine Onyx Black .

  46. Anja E. says:

At the moment I am trying different ink pads. I have some Simon Says Stamp ones, I have some Hero Arts inks. My favorites are the Distress Inks as they are so versatile. I definitly want to try more ink pads and your comparison is a great help. Thank you! Of course I would love to try the Altenew inks as I already have my eyes on it for a long time. Thank you for the chance to win some of them. 🙂

  47. Jenny Vertz says:

i wish i had your ink collection!! i’m slowly building mine… after watching your video i have a much better idea of what i should collect… thanks for sharing your knowledge! and crossing my fingers becuase i could REALLY use some new ink colors 🙂

  48. ColoradoStamper says:

OK Jennifer, this is like asking me who my favorite child is. Although I wouldn’t admit that I would have to say my most used ink would be what most of your readers are saying. It’s the Memento Tuxedo Black ink with a close runner up of Versafine Onyx Black ink. Now if you are asking for a favorite color ink then it would have to be Tim Holtz Distress inks in the blue-green shades. I just love the versatility of those inks… Hey thanks for asking.

  49. Danielle Wiegert says:

I usually use Memento, but lately I’m really loving the Simon says stamp inks!

  50. Nerys says:

I had bought some inks from one company but whatever i did they were always disappointing to stamp with so I took your advice and got some Lawn Fawn inks and they are lovely. I reach for them first now. Thanks for the advice. They are my new faves!
