Hi! I just wanted to pop in and share a video I did for Scrapbook & Cards Today. It shows three ways to add sparkle and shine to your cards.

I am always looking for fun ways to add sparkle and shine to my cards. This video shares three of my favorites: glitter (in a non-messy way), foil and heat embossing.   2. I love the heat embossing to add a special touch to my cards! I also like the Versa Mark and glitter. Lately I have added sequins for a touch of sparkly! Would love to be a winner…thank you Jennifer and SCT

  4. Great tips! My favorite ways to add shine is Glossy Accents and cheap sparkly nail polish. I don’t allow glitter in the house at all – it just seems to get everywhere and always ends up on my face.

  5. I recently tried your foil technique with my laminater and just love the effect! I also use pearl drops and of course wink of stella for a subtle sparkle – Thanks for more ideas and another giveaway .

  9. Hi Jennifer, Thanks for the video, Love watching your videos. I am LOVING my MINC machine right now, it is awesome for adding that sparkle and shine that I love. Before I got my MINC I was using my wink of stella’s a lot. Thanks, glad your back from vacation and had a great time !!!

  15. Hi Jennifer,
    My favorite way to add sparkle is with shimmer paint added to my mister spray bottle (diluted with rubbing alcohol). It creates a fine mist. Sheer, but veru effective. I also like to use shimmer cardstock.

  20. Hi, Jennifer! Loved all the cards! I thank you for showing how to do all these techniques. I especially like the foil on the one card. Such a simple way to add so much impact! 🙂 But I have a question: What embossing folder did you use on the card with the 3 butterflies? I don’t think I’ve seen one like that before and I think it is very nice.

  22. Glossy Accents, Wink of Stella and sometimes foil. I love a bit of sparkle but done so appropriately. I do love the butterfly. I recently found some filament for needle crafts that I moved over to the paper crafting. Thank you for the video. ~M~

  28. I love using wink of stella, but I also like to put a few drops of ink, some perfect pearls powder and a little water in a mini mister and spray my item.

  33. I love Stickles!!! My daughter even used Diamond Stickles on her Cow Girl boots along all the stitching for her wedding… she saw boots like this that cost over $1000! We love Stickles lol!!!

  34. I love to heat emboss cards! I have tried the foil technique but I am still struggling with complete coverage of the the foil. Love the techniques you showed in the video. I will have to try the foiling again- practice practice practice!! lol

  36. Thanks for sharing your always so fun ideas with us! My favorite ways to add shimmer or glitter are Wink of Stella clear brush or glitter heat embossing powder.

  39. If I’m looking for a good sparkle, I’m all for the glitter. I have a white glitter embossing powder that’s just perfect for adding a bit of glitz, especially with smaller stamps. But, I usually go more toward a subtle shimmer than straight up glitter. Something like Perfect Pearls or a shimmer mist spray.

  42. I like to add sparkle to my projects using double-sided tape and ultra-fine glitter. It;s somewhat messy, but the results are amazing.

  46. What nice cards. My favorite way to add quick sparkle is with the Wink of Stella marker. Otherwise, I am starting to like using foil with my new laminator.

  48. I’ve just discovered Wink of Stella and love it! It is so simple and easy to use for that quick shimmer.

  49. I have a ton of glitter, but I’m afraid to use it because it makes such a mess. So, I like to use glitter card stock and sequins to add shimmer and shine to my cards!
