Hi! I just wanted to pop in and share a video I did for Scrapbook & Cards Today. It shows three ways to add sparkle and shine to your cards.

I am always looking for fun ways to add sparkle and shine to my cards. This video shares three of my favorites: glitter (in a non-messy way), foil and heat embossing.     Love today’s cards, Jennifer, and your video are always a highlight for me. I ALWAYS learn new things – thank you! I am in love with the foiling technique since I watched your first video a few months ago, so I do use that technique. Also, one of the easiest ways for me to add sparkle and shine to cards (and scrapbook pages) is by using Stickles – I’m addicted to those tiny bottles of sparkle goodness 🙂 Thank you very much for the great giveaway – I am a HUGE fan of SCT and would love the latest copy!!!

    Hope you are feeling better.

    My favorite way is heat embossing. I also like perfect pearls. I haven’t used much glitter yet….did do a great Christmas card with a used dryer sheet and glitter a couple of years back.

    I like the foil. I have that love/hate relationship with glitter, although I must say that swiffer really cleaned it up so well. I tend to get it everywhere especially when it’s superfine.

    Embossing poweder. . . love it, love it, love it. I use it all the time!! I really like doing the edges of die-cuts, like you demo’d.

    Glad to have you back! Glitter is the easiest way I have found to add bling to my projects. But wink of Stella is a close second!

    I use heat embossing but I will try these other ways to add a little sparkle and shine. I had just used it for the holidays but these other cards are lovely.

    I love embossing powder with sparkle and Wink of Stella. I’ve tried several methods of foiling, but it never looks like yours. I’m going to try it with score tape to see if I get better results.

    Hope you’re feeling better Jennifer! Your cards are fantastic, and those are some great easy techniques to use. I will add them to my arsenal! Right now I fall back to quick and easy products like Wink of Stella, especially the car pen, and Stickles glitter glue. When I want an over all light sparkle, I’ll use Smooch clear sparkle sprays. I’ll also cut backgrounds from metallic card stock or add a flourish cut from glitter card stock.

    My favorite way by far to add sparkle is Stickles. They are always my go-to, and I use them on almost every card.

    I use my Wink of Stella pen a lot for glimmer! And thanks to your tip… I can use it a lot longer by adding water to it when it’s “empty”! I just got the red Wink of Stella and can’t wait to use it on Christmas cards this year!

    Those were great tips for adding sparkle and shine to card projects—I loved that you used double stick tape and foil without the laminator to add some stripes to that one card… I’m going to try that!! My favorite way to add sparkle is with the Wink of Stella glitter brush pen, but I also love the Quickie Glue Pen and some prism glitter. I do that often!

    I LOVE your videos. I use heat embossing all the time. It is easy, economical and did I say easy? 🙂 A big bang for your buck. If I use glitter, I wear glitter for days. Your swiffer dust clothes are a great idea!
