Foil Stamping and New Inks + Giveaway!

Hello!

Just wanted to pop in to let you know about a few fun things that are happening. And do a BIG giveaway!

FOIL STAMPING VIDEO

I am a guest today over on the Ellen Hutson blog HERE… showing more examples of adding foil to stamped images. (You can see my original video HERE.) I just adore these flower and “hello” sentiment stamps from Julie Ebersole. They look great with the DecoFoil!

To see the video, head on over to Ellen Hutson.

GIVEWAY

Ellen said that I could give away some of the products I used in the video! This is an awesome prize pack – a laminator, stamp set, adhesive and 3 packs of foil! For your chance, leave a comment here by 11:59pmEST on 5/19/15  telling me a bit of good news in your life. (The winner’s name will be randomly selected and posted on my “Winners page” after the giveaway closes. International folks are eligible, too!)

Check out this giveaway!

Good luck!

NEW ALTENEW INKS

My friends over at Altenew are releasing a new line of inks and are celebrating with a blog hop. The hop starts HERE at 9:00amEST today (5/15/15)… so be sure to check it out.

I am really excited to play with their new ink line… which are formulated to be perfect for stamp layering techniques. I wanted to do a video for you today showing how to use them… but I am honestly having trouble keeping up with it all at the moment! (Being a momma comes first here.) But I promise to show them to you in the future and get you some ink swatch downloads. 🙂 In the meantime, you can see the new inks HERE.

See you soon. Have a fabulous weekend. Audrey has prom this weekend and we are celebrating Lila’s 3rd birthday – can’t wait!

I really like this way of foiling — seems like the easiest so far. My good news is that boss is gone for 2 weeks to Ireland and I worked my tail off to meet deadlines before he left for vacation so he said to take a comp day. So I’ll get 3-day weekend with my family this weekend (planned previously as our last time away together was June 2012) followed by a 4-day weekend after that with at least my girls as the youngest has Friday off for snowday not used and then Monday for Memorial Day. So somewhere the girls and I will squeeze in some crafting time together as they’ve started painting again and get into my stamps, inks, stencils, etc. Can’t beat time with family!!! I love that most of all.

  10. willireb says:

Thanks for your videos on foiling. It looks like so much fun and the results are so impressive. I have got to try this with some of my stamps – it would look amazing. Thanks to you and Ellen for the give-away.

Good news is everywhere! Happy, productive, responsible kids; the privilege of physically being able to do most anything I care to including walking my dog on sunny spring days; living in this gorgeous land; being able to see this gorgeous land; having time to do things I enjoy doing; having a full refrigerator – having a refrigerator at all! On and on it goes …

  12. Carol W says:

Thank you for the work you share and for this opportunity to win blog candy! So that I don’t overthink, I’ll go with a simple example of good news in my life: last night I did something that I thought was no biggie, and then found out today that it was a really big help to person involved and that she is so grateful. You just never know when something small for you ends up making a big difference for someone else.

  13. Nicole D says:

I love your cards using the foil stamping. My good news is that I’m going to see my mother this weekend. She lives several hundred miles away so I only get to see her a handful of times each year, but I am so very grateful. Thank you for sharing.

  14. Heather Warner-Ferguson says:

  18. irene grau says:

  27. The bit of good news for me is that I finally opened an Etsy shop yesterday which will hopefully generate some income for me. Being disabled without any source of income of my own is very difficult on you in multiple levels … spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. My husband is the only one working as due to my disability I cannot. So being a single income household is very difficult. Often times it made me feel helpless and worthless that I could not help financially. But I am hoping that now that I have opened an Etsy shop it will be successful and give me that bit of financial independence. I plan on selling handmade cards for the time being as they are easier to ship until I figure out a secure way to ship more delicate items like my handmade polymer clay sculptures.

  28. Michelle says:

I have tried the foiling using a printer and have had pretty good results, so I am looking forward to trying this technique as well.

I don’t have a laminator yet (on wishlist) but I would hate to throw away the beautiful negative patterns that are left. My good news is that the sun is shining and the leaves are just about fully out. And I am halfway through a cross stitch project and then I can get back into stamping!
