Hi there. Today I have an incredible guest artist – Julia Altermann – with a video sharing some great tips for watercolor with markers.
Julia’s work on Instagram and immediately asked her if I could hire her to do a video for me to share with you here. I am so glad I did! In her video, Julia shares tips and tricks on how to use inexpensive markers and blend them out to get a beautiful watercolor look. I find her tips so helpful and unique.
Julia used the Wplus9 Unforgettable and SSS Sketched Alphabet stamp sets, along with the Stabilo Markers. Inspired by her, I also bought these markers and find they are fun to use. But remember – you can try her techniques with most any water-based markers. No need to buy new ones!

Make sure to check out Julia’s YouTube channel and blog for much more inspiration. I enjoy her clean and simple cards (like THIS one), light coloring (see HERE), and clever designs (oh my cuteness!). I think you will, too.
