Video: Coloring Texture Paste + GIVEAWAY

Hi there! Today’s video revisits a fun technique – – coloring texture paste.

Coloring texture paste (or any other paste) is simple. For this card, I used a drop of reinker in a small bit of texture paste… resulting in vibrant color. I mixed it together with a palette knife and applied it to a stamped Peep image with a microbrush. (If you don’t have a microbrush, you could use a toothpick or even a fine-tip paintbrush.)

I used My Favorite Things Dye Ink Reinkers for coloring my paste because the colors are oh-so-lovely…

Before the paste dried completely, I also added a pinch of Cool Highlights Glitter from Elizabeth Crafts Design. The results? Very real-Peep-like!

Oh – and that fun stitched rectangle? I created that with a My Favorite Things Inside and Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die. The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things – the Candy Jar Companions Stamp Set – and is heat embossed with Ranger’s Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.

By the way, I like the My Favorite Things Dye Ink… especially when they’re “juicy” and well-inked. I usually do not reink my dye ink pads but this one I do (every 6 months or so). And the reinkers are affordable! One big perk of this ink: it is easy to clean off stamp,  leaving little-to-no transfer of the previous ink.
