Video: Coloring With Embossing Paste + Giveaway

Hello! I have another technique video for you today… this time showing how to color a stamped image with embossing paste. Yep! You heard me right…

[All products are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this post. Click HERE to watch on YouTube in HD.]

I am amazed at how realistic these ice cream scoops look! Using embossing paste to “color” in stamped images is such fun and the resulting texture would be great for centers of flowers, leaves, animals and much more. For this ice cream cone, I used the stamp set from the new Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. (You can get it alone or in the awesome kit. More on that below.) I colored the paste with various inks and used a brush to “paint” it over the stamped image.

I shared one other trick on this card. With a bit of cutting and rearranging, I stamped the greeting “I love you more than you love ice cream” instead of “I love you more than ice cream.” This new greeting is now perfect, since our teenager loves ice cream A LOT. (And she will love this card!)

KIT

As I mentioned, the Ice Cream Dreams stamp set I used is part of the newest Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. This kit is filled with lots of happy goodies! You can find the stamp set HERE, the kit HERE and info on subscribing HERE. (The subscription price is amazing and there is always a new stamp set included. For less than $20, you get a $15 stamp set and a bunch of other products. Great deal.)

GIVEAWAY

Simon Says Stamp said I could give away one of these awesome card kits to a lucky winner! For your chance, leave a comment here by 11:59pmEST on 7/21/14. Good luck.
