Enabling + random shares

Hey there.

I found something fabulous and just had to share. Remember THIS trimmer that I adore so very much?

Well, you can now get titanium blades for it and they last a really long time. Cuts like butter. Swoon.

You can get the trimmer HERE and the new blades HERE.

I also thought I would share a few random cards. Not sure if I shared them already – please forgive me if I did. First up? Random card #1. All BasicGrey and Hero Arts… oh so lovely products. The rose was done by stamping with Memento Markers.

Random card #2: More proof of my love for BasicGrey + Hero Arts goodies. Along with chalk inks. Easy.

Random card #3: Used the Tim Holtz Bracket border die on both sides on the card. Also simple.

Hope you are having a fab weekend.

  1. I have this trimmer and will have to look for the new blades, I seem to be going through them quickly so this will help! Great cards, I especially love the stamps on the 2nd one!

  2. Thanks for telling us about the titanium blades…..I love this trimmer, but I keep wearing out the original blades; hopefully these may last longer!

  3. I love those cards Jennifer, and titanium blades for that trimmer, I think our stamping group will probably put in an order for a LOT of those… about 6 or 7 of us have that trimmer, thanks to you, and my friend’s daughter, who bought it as a Christmas present. Once we tried, we all bought!

  4. Beautiful cards as usual. Wish I had the vision like you do when it comes to putting these cards together. My favorite is card #3. Clever how you extended the stems to the botttom of the card. Thanks for the update on the trimmer. Wish I owned one. Have a fabulous weekend too.

  5. Wonderful cards, Jennifer! Love that rose one! So pretty! I find my blades wearing out quite quickly, so it’s good to know about the titanium ones. . .thanks! 🙂

  6. Hi Jennifer, Thanks for sharing! Like the other ladies, I love this trimmer but the blades get to me! They wear out so fast! I’m so glad Fiskars took our comments positively and developed sharper and longer lasting blades! Whoo!

  7. You know that you are a paper crafter when you get excited about new titanium refill blades! Thank you for sharing 🙂

    Beautiful cards!

  8. I haven’t seen these cards before but even so, your cards are sooo pretty, Jennifer, viewing them again is quite a treat! And thank you for the announcement about the titanium blades…the blades dulling so quickly has been my only issue with this cutter!

  9. Gorgeous! I especially like the middle one – the colours are fantastic, and such a great blend. Someone should do a tut on that 😉 Wait a minute….Card Camp!!

  10. Beautiful cards. I LOVE the Thinking of you one ~ really pretty!
Thanks for the info on the trimmer my OLD, ORIGINAL Fiskars trimmer is getting harder & harder to get cutting pads for. This one looks GREAT!
    Thanks for sharing

  11. Wonderful cards with great ideas! I just love your creativity and inspiration. I have the trimmer and love it, too. Glad to hear about the titanium blades since I go through mine quickly as that trimmer is used so much. Hope you are enjoying your summer. It’s going by quickly in California. :0)

  12. Thanks for the tip on the blades. I bought that trimmer on your recommendation last summer and I LOVE it.

I purchased those Basic Grey backgrounds this week. Thanks for the ideas using them. Enjoy you weekend.

  13. Love your cards…all of them! I have a Fiskars trimmer but not that one. I like it but a wider base would be better! Thanks for the tip!

  14. Hi Jennifer – I also have that Fiskars Trimmer and bought it based on your recommendation. I’m another user who is very happy to hear the new blades will last a lot longer. I actually picked up a package of the new Titanium replacement blades, yesterday at my LSS. That will be a bonus for those of use who were going through blades pretty quickly!

I also have Tim’s on the edge Bracket die, but have never been able to easily figure out how you and Kristina use it for your cards? Is there some ‘trick/tip’ on using it to make these fun-shaped cards? I love them every time I see one and still need to learn how to create them?

    Thanks,
    Lisa

PS; I’m LOVING Summer Camp and looking forward to seeing what’s new this week! It’s been wonderful and everyone LOVES it!!

  15. So timely! I love that paper trimmer but I also find the blades dull quickly (esp w PTI CS) so just ordered some of these new ones! I see moving to a guillotine trimmer in my future if this doesn’t work! Thanks for the recommend (i went to SSS straight from your blog-not sure if you get credit-but you should!)

  16. Gorgeous! And good tip about the titanium blades … I would also love some tips on how to use the bracket dies – how do you keep them from shifting and how do you line up the card? Any tips would be so very appreciated!! Oh, and by the way, I am loving all the great ideas from the card camp; thanks for all the inspiration!!

  17. That is my very favorite trimmer-I got mine a couple years ago for my birthday and I absolutely love it. Now it’s even better-thanks for the heads up!
