Video: Favorite Adhesives + Giveaway

I am not a very picky person.

But there is one thing I am very picky about: Adhesives. 🙂

Since I use them more then anything, I want the best. I have tried a lot. A lot. And have narrowed it down to a certain few. I get asked about this a lot, so I decided to do a quick video to show them all in action.

Here are the adhesives I show in the video and like so much:

THIS American Crafts This To That Adhesive – permanent dots – make sure you get the right one. HERE are the refills.

THIS Tombow Stamp Runner. HERE are the refills.

THESE American Crafts Foam Dots, 1/8″ thick.

THESE EK Success 3D (foam) Dots, 1/16″ thick.

THIS Glossy Accents, in big (I recommend) or small bottles.

THIS Multi-Medium Matte.

I hope this helps you pick the best adhesive for you.

And how about a giveaway of ALL of these favorite adhesives? Just leave a comment here by Saturday night at 11:59pmEST telling me your favorite adhesives and I will pick a lucky winner of all 6 adhesives from my own stash. When I find something I love, I gotta share. 🙂

Have a fab day.

Can’t say that I have a favourite adhesive, it all depends on what I am trying to do. I use glue dots, sticky strip, and tombow for the majority of my work. Thanks for the chance to win.

Great video! I love Glossy Accents, been using that a LOT more lately, and am very happy with it. Can’t do anything w/o my ATG gun though, honestly. LOVE that thing.

Wow lots of great tips. I’ve been looking for a great tape runner-so this to that it is.I didn’t even know you could get Claudine’s multi medium in small sizes.Cutting the squares on a diagonal-brilliant.This blog entry has answered a lot of questions for me.
I love Glossy Accents and use it on almost everything. My favorite new discovery is Helmar’s V2.I have a passion for acrylic and finally an adhesive that really doesn’t show through.
One more adhesive quest to go-a really really good adhesive for metals!

  10. Andrea Good says:

I love glossy accents (my favorite) and the EK success dots, but have never tried the others. I have never heard of American Crafts and must not be sold in our area. I would love to try them!

I love glue dots, but for my card making, I have been using DUCK double sided tape. I was having so much trouble getting things to stick when I had embossing on my cards. Thanks for this great run down of products.

  12. Julie E says:

My ATG gun is my fave! The refills are inexpensive and it is so easy to apply. I have tried a couple of your faves, but have never tried using the glossy accents as an adheshive!

  13. Gwen says:

    Hi Jennifer!
Thanks for the great video on what adhesives work best. I have to say my favorite to use is the scotach brand quick dry adheasive, easy to squeeze bottle so you can control how much you use. Drys very fast. It is a strong adheasive so works well with mini albums or heaver embelishments. My number one reason why I like it is because it comes out white so you can see where you are putting it but it dries clear.

  16. sl says:

I love glossy accents. I also love love the new scotch tape runner. I use the removable one since I can never get cards line up straight. I love h9ow easy it goes on the cardstock and it is easy to removable then it is permanant.

  17. Fanny bd says:

I would love to try some of those adhesives! Thanks

  18. TeeCee says:

I do enjoy a good “give-away” – and this is a good one!
I do enjoy my Scotch Quick Dry adhesive for projects that can take the “wet adhesive” and Adhesive Tech for work that must stay dry. But I will use what works well.

  19. This is fantastic! Thanks for the info! Searching for the right adhesives can seem really overwhelming sometimes, but these look like awesome choices! I hope I win so I can try them all! *fingers crossed*

  20. I’m glad that you shared what works best for you – I hadn’t heard of a couple of them – will have to try to find some of the ones that you can rub off but are permanent – that sounds handy. I like the glossy accents and the zip dry for some things. I have tried many kinds of tape runners and haven’t had much success yet so I tend to get the red liner tape when I need it to really stick and not have to worry about it coming off. For some heavier embellishments I use E6000. I find it really does the trick – I use it on alot of my stamped jewelry that I do. Anyway… I’m rambling.. I will definitely try some of your suggestions and hopefully I too will find a new favorite! Thanks for the chance to win some adhesives…

  21. Brenda Lubrant says:

My favorite adhesive is glossy accemts. It is so strong to hold heavier objects on your projects and also you can use it as a demensional.

  22. Karen says:

Great idea! I use my favourite double-sided tape from my local stamp store. Not sure what brand it is, but it comes on a big spool. Also love 3M 465 tape, also double-sided. Use glossy accents for sticking down flowers and embellishments. (I learned that trick from a fantastic stamper-scrapper-blogger-mom!) I like my spool of double sided tape, also from my LSS, but I do like the Stampin’ Up stampin’ dimensionals too. That’s pretty much all I use, plus glue dots for ribbon and things. And a glue pen for sticking down little bits of paper.

  23. Carolyn Kropp says:

    Great give-away, thanks!

  24. Melanie says:

Wow! Looking at what you like and what others like, it is amazing how many adhesives there are out there. I use the same stuff over and over because I don’t know what is better, but don’t love any of it…..maybe I need to try what you use!! Even better, maybe I can win some! Thanks for the chance!

  25. Holly Kean says:

I use Glossy Accents, Zig 2 Way Glue and ATG. I did notice in one video of yours I watched, you used an Elmer’s glue stick. Do you use that often or did you “borrow” it from Colin’s stash?

  26. Deb Pereira says:

Thanks for showing your favorites. I have yet to try those two tape runners. I use glossy accents quite a bit and love it!

  27. benessi says:

interesting.. i haven’t really used any of these except glossy accents.. so i guess i’d love to try some of them!

  28. Diane Alberts says:

I agree about adhesives and pickiness….I like Herafix dotto, but then I like tombow for other projects..just depends upon the project and the paper I suppose. A girl likes a variety, just like in shoes. 🙂 Diane

  29. Faith B. says:

Some of my fave adhesives are diamond glaze, UHU and zots. Haven’t really tried the others you featured above and i would love to try it. Hope i get to win those. thanks for the chance.

  33. Sharon Marchbanks says:

Whoa, Jennifer!!! What a great list and video. I’ll print it off and take it to the store with me next time I go. Right now I’m using a glue runner but don’t remember the brand. I like this type because they’re so easy to use. I also have a Tombow liquid that I like. I haven’t tried any on your list though. Would love to win these, but if not, I’ll go shopping. Thanks so very much for sharing this information. Hugs, Sharon :o)

  34. Cathie Hauf says:

I’ve never tried the Studio Matte as a glue, but I do love the glossy accents. I would love to win the others! Thank you for the chance to win! Love the give aways.

  35. Karin Reese says:

I love using Glossy Accents for shine but haven’t ever thought to use it as an adhesive. I use Glue Dots a lot when making cards, but I haven’t ever tried any of the other adhesives you love so much. Thanks for the chance to win!

  36. When I’m making boxes, I love the double sided super sticky tape (can’t remember the brand name). When it comes to other adhesives, I don’t really have a favorite – and I love seeing what other people recommend. I appreciate you sharing what you love!! 🙂 And the opportunity to win some!

  37. Linda Hardesty says:

I have adhesives that I use for various applications, but my top choices that I use daily are: 3m tape in my ATG, Glue Dots, DImensionals from Stampin Up and Glossy Accents. One more favorite that I use quite often is Terrifically Tacky Tape. You’ve peaked my interest with the tape runner that works 2 ways, I’ll need to try that for sure. Thank you for your fabulous video tutorials and for this giveaway.

  38. Manasa says:

I have never used any of the above mentioned adhesives but have seen u use them…so would definately want to try them out…Thanks for the giveaway !

  40. Linda Trace says:

I’ve only just discovered those AC foam dots and I’m in LOVE> so I’d have to say those, and the GLossy Accents (thanks for the tip on keeping it unclogged–i have no end of trouble with that!)

Take care and htanks for the giveaway!!

  41. Kim Chong says:

I have a few different adhesives that I love but for a stronghold on anything to make sure it doesn’t come off, I like to use Beacon’s 3 in 1 adhesives. It works exactly like the glue from a hot glue gun but it doesn’t burn you! And it dries clear and very quickly too! But recently, I have begun to love using glossy accents as an adhesive especially when I am using it with Tim Holtz’s fragment charms. Thanks for a chance to win!

  42. lowlanglang says:

I like the double-sided tape sold in Japanese dollar store (like Daiso). They are about $1.5 each roll, most even come with its own cutter. They are easy to use for sticking good size pieces to the base of the card.

  43. virginialow says:

I have bought a pink ATG gun, but sometimes the tape seems to be out of place…. maybe the smaller ones recommended by you is better! Have to try them!

  44. Marianna says:

Well my favourite adhesives are mini glue dots, the 3d foam dots and of course the glossy accents. I feel bad for the latter since I dont use it much for gloss purposes, I hope ranger doesn’t mind!!!

  45. carol in seattle :) says:

Great video! I have the AC This to That, but haven’t really played with it yet. My favorite adhesive is Tombow’s Multi (white with green lid). Thanks for sharing your favorites!

  46. I am really picky about my adhesives and I have a large variety I use depending on what I am doing. I have yet to find the perfect tape runner but I have found the ATG and Tombow work well. I love Glossy Accents for certain things and SU Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Zig and Quickie Glue Pens. I will watch your video and see what other sticky tricks you have up your sleeve. 🙂

  47. I LOVE my ATG! I resisted it for the longest thing since I used to use one at work and it was SO bulky but they came out with the pink one and it seems smaller, though I’m not sure about that. I like that the rolls of adhesive last for so long, it makes me feel like I’m getting my money’s worth.

  48. Bunnyfreak says:

My favorite adhesive is my ATG acid-free tape.

  49. Josiane says:

My favorite adhesive is Kokuyo. Fortunately, I have a Japanese friend who buys it for me.

Thanks for the giveaway and have a great week!

  50. Cool! Now I know what to look for! Thanks for sharing this… I already use Glossy Accents and the foam squares but the other stuff will be added to me stash!
