Video: Favorite Adhesives + Giveaway

I am not a very picky person.

But there is one thing I am very picky about: Adhesives. πŸ™‚

Since I use them more then anything, I want the best. I have tried a lot. A lot. And have narrowed it down to a certain few. I get asked about this a lot, so I decided to do a quick video to show them all in action.

Here are the adhesives I show in the video and like so much:

THIS American Crafts This To That Adhesive – permanent dots – make sure you get the right one. HERE are the refills.

THIS Tombow Stamp Runner. HERE are the refills.

THESE American Crafts Foam Dots, 1/8″ thick.

THESE EK Success 3D (foam) Dots, 1/16″ thick.

THIS Glossy Accents, in big (I recommend) or small bottles.

THIS Multi-Medium Matte.

I hope this helps you pick the best adhesive for you.

And how about a giveaway of ALL of these favorite adhesives? Just leave a comment here by Saturday night at 11:59pmEST telling me your favorite adhesives and I will pick a lucky winner of all 6 adhesives from my own stash. When I find something I love, I gotta share. πŸ™‚

Have a fab day.

  1. I love using glossy accents for attaching embellies to my projects. I also discovered some magnificent glue from The Rubber Cafe called Scrap Happy Sheer Glue. It works great and does dry clear so no worries about anything showing where it shouldn’t!! Thanks for the chance to win some goodies!!

  2. Haven’t used any of the American Crafts adhesives as they’re not readily available here in the UK. Love Glossy Accents though, have had my large bottle for 4 years and it’s still going strong!! Would love to have the chance to win these.

  3. Cool. It is always such a challenge to decide on adhesives.

I also like washi tape (also called japanese masking tape)–repositional paper tape in cool designs that can be incorporates into the card.

  4. I am loving the American Crafts This To That adhesive! I used to use Hermo Dot, but it always, always gummed up ! I’d try to clean it out with UnDu and it would gum up again! This To That is very similar, but they seem to have licked the “gum up” problem. My only trouble is that none of my LSS carry it. I’d love to win ! Glossy accents – makes your stickers into gorgeous expoxy embellishements and holds the heaviest accent securely to your page – it’s fantastic!

  5. I always loved the Kokuyo brand of adhesive then they quit making it. I am still on the search. Thanks for all the great suggestions.. Have a great trip..

  6. I have a few favorites and use them all almost every day!!

    –Glossy Accents
    –Scotch Tape Runner
    –American Crafts Foam Dots

I also LOVE Tim Holtz’s Tiny Attacher for adding heavier objects! πŸ™‚

  7. i’ve had bad luck with my adhesives. my paper tends to come off (i wonder if its the hot weather here in florida)! so for now i’ve been using martha stewart’s gel adhesive and the glossy accents for my embellies! i would love to try these!! thanks for the chance to win!!

  8. Glossy Accents, one of my MUST have’s for projects, layouts, cards, everything!! I also like the Tombow Mono Dots Permanent Adhesive for my layouts. And for my cards and other things that I don’t want to keep long term, or for my daughter to play with, I just buy the Darice Permanent Dot Roller (red) from Pat Catan’s at @ a dollar a piece! I really like it and it does the job nicely!

  9. My fave was the kukoyo? dot roller that was recently discontinued πŸ™ so i’ve been searching for another great one. thanks for the suggestions and chance to win some and try them.

  10. For sure it is Glossy Accents!! I sam like you I think I have tried them all. but always come back to Glossy Accents.
    Love the!!

  11. I like the Scotch Tape Runner and the little adhesive tabs-I think they’re from Pioneer.
    Happy Anniversary!

  12. I am using glossy accents, This to that tape runner and EK Success foam dots. Have not tried This to that foam dots yet. I have been meaning to. Thanks for the giveaway.

  13. I love glossy accents! If I can’t find an adhesvie in my stash that will do the trick, I always turn to glossy accents! It’s the best! πŸ™‚

  14. Thanks for sharing your favorites. You listed several that I haven’t yet tried. I look forward to giving them a try. Thanks for the chance to try to win them!

  15. I haven’t found a favorite tape runner yet, but I prefer glossy accents for all my embellishments. It would be great to try something new!

  16. LOVE THE GLOSSY ACCENTS. THERE IS SO MUCH YOU CAN DO WITH IT . LOVE THE DIMENSIONS YOU CAN ACHIEVE.
THANK YOU FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN.

  17. I find I need a stable of adhesives to accomplish various types of adhesion tasks. πŸ™‚ Glossy Accents is fab for adhering embellishments. Crafty Power Tape is marvelous for adhering ribbon because it’s easy to lay down flat and straight, plus is strong. I use Zots Glue Dots and like them the best of the ones I’ve tried. Those are good for adhering small things like buttons (but Glossy Accents is good for this, too.) I have yet to find a tape or dot runner I’m madly in love with. My two current favorites are the Tombow Mono Permanent adhesive and the Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller. The Scotch is pretty good, but pricier than the Tombow.

  18. I love both those dimensional dots. use them all the time as well as the Glossy Accents. The others are new to me. May have to give them a try as I am still looking for that “perfect” adhesive runner. Thanks for the tips.

  19. Well…………………..back here in Cyprus there is not much of a choice since papercrafting is somewhat unknown!!!!!! So………..I use what I can find…….some UHU glue sticks and double sided tape from a bookshop near me do the trick………………….! I do order the glossy accents online though, as it’s the only one I can use for both fixing or accenting pieces of my work!!! I absolutely love everything you post!!!!!!!!!

  20. I didn’t realize until this year that glossy accents could be an adhesive as well as a dimensional accent, and I LOVE it. My favorite tape runner is Tombow and my favorite glue is Scotch quick dry adhesive. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity!

  21. Hi there,

Right now I am using Tombo Mono Dots adhesive tape runner. I use scor-tape for anything that needs an ultra sticky application. And I love Darice 1/16 inch thick little foam squares but I can not find them anymore. I have never used the products that you mentioned so it would be neat to see what the difference is. I always like trying new things. Thank you for a chance to win! And for sharing! πŸ™‚

  22. I use the Scotch Tape Runner, Recollections Foam Dots and Recollections Glue Dots. Haven’t tried any of the adhesives you mentioned, would love to try them! Thanks for the opportunity to win! =)

  23. My usual default is the regular Tombow Mono Adhesive Permanent runner. I also inherited some foam dots. I was also given a bunch of glue sticks, so I’m trying to use those where I can. Would love to try some new stuff, though.

  24. I had always wondered what other people used for adhesives when I first started card making… 3 yrs ago. I used a wet glue that made my cards stiff and warped πŸ™ But finally found a good ole $1 Scotch wrinkle free glue stick that I love! I also really like Scor-tape. But I use it sparingly when I need something to stay put. Thanks for sharing all of your tips πŸ™‚

  25. Kokuyu adhesive was my favorite until they quit making it. The AC This and That is a good substitute. Also can’t live without the Glossy Accents!

  26. I love it when you tell us and show us the best stuff available, particularly adhesive, which is a super important one in the basic supplies. Over the years you have had a lot of great giveaways, but this one is so helpful, I am totally getting some this-to-that and some glossy accents right away.

  27. I love Glossy Accents, too, but I’m on my third big bottle… my Grandchildren will have to buy their own! Thank you for the chance to try all your favorites!

  28. Scotch Dot tape runner, ThermOWeb Glue Dots (all 3 sizes), Quickie Glue Pen (for small die cuts), double sided sticky tape 1/4″ (peel off white paper), Glossy Accents and my trusty Martha Stewart hot glue gun are all favorites. Happy Anniversary!!

  29. They need to “super size” glossy accents! I also really like the foam dots – all good stuff. Thanks for the chance to win some fab goodies, this would be a wonderful way to try some new things that I have not seen.

  30. I like the PermaTac in the Glue Glider Pro, but it is not at all cost effective, so I am looking forward to trying your recommendations! Love your videos!!

  31. I really like the glossy accents because it is an adhesive and embellishment! πŸ™‚ I also like the Scotch quick dry. Have never used the American crafts or tombow dots/ runner. I really like the idea that you can rub off! TFS

  32. I usually use Tombow and order several boxes at a time…My stash is almost out…I would love to try something new…I hope you pick me.

PS Hope you’re having a wonderful relaxing vacation. My best friend went to Virgin Gorda last year and said it was the most amazing, relaxing vacation she’s ever been on.

  33. I love Glossy Accents and the Kokuyo adhesives. Unfortunately, they’ve been disconinued, and I don’t have many of the refills left. Thanks for the giveaway.

  34. Thanks so much for posting about your faves. I still have some Kokuyo runners which are my favorite adhesive, but am running out. I also really like the Quickie Glue Pen. Thanks also for the chance to win some of your favorites.

  35. First time poster on your blog, just want to say I absolutely love your tutorial videos, very inspiring! Thank you for sharing with us.

  36. I am always on the search for the right adhesive…I use a large tape runner, zots, glue pens…and I have glossy accent, but did not realize it is a glue!
