Birthday wishes and giveaways winners…

Hey there!

First, I wanted to announce the winners of the four Tim Holtz dies: Denise, Shari, Carol and Jen Shipley.  I will email you each.

Also, I wanted to do a huge shout out to my sweet step-daughter, Kay, who turned 15 today.  We decided to surprise her with a gift that would make her smile big time.

This weekend, Kay and I are headed to NYC for a few Broadway shows and site-seeing and eating and fun.

Kay loves theater and acting and wants to live in NYC someday.  (In fact, she is redoing her room to be an NYC-theme.)  So, tonight, when we told her we were going, she was one very happy girl.  Love this face…

Kay is proof for every mom out there that teenage girls can be delightful, kind and wonderful.

And, along with our family tradition, she was silly-stringed.  This time she had two cans exploding at her – one from each of her siblings…

The two of us will have such fun in NYC.  We could chat for days… check out cute boys… eat… shop… laugh… chat… eat… take pictures.  I am so so so so very blessed to be her mum.  SO very blessed.

And one of the best things about going to NYC is that Kay will get to meet my friend Kelly.  Kelly is an amazing gal with such a sense of who she is, adventure and appreciation of life.  I would love Kay to grow up to be like Kelly, so this will be very special for me.
