New products and another giveaway

Hello!

Welcome back.  This is fun giving stuff away.  Making people smile is contagious. 🙂

So, today, I thought I would hook ya up with some goodness from Stampin' Up.  I love Stampin' Up.  Why?  Many reasons.  A big one?  Because they create new stamp addicts everyday.  They go into people's homes and share the love of stamping.  Can't get much better than that.  And, their stamps are made in the US, like many of my other favorite stamp companies (Hero Arts, A Muse, Stampers Anonymous, etc.)

Here are a couple cards I created with some of their new products from their summer mini catalog.    These hearts make my heart pitter patter.  They are cling ("clear mount") stamps.  (Did you know they have those now?) The border of words is actually part of a Jumbo Builder Wheel set.  (Which, by the way, I am giving away below!)  You just load it up on a roller and roll onto the card for a fun border…

050410 SU JenMcGuire
Supplies: Stampin' Up stamps (I {Heart} Hearts, Itty Bitty Shape heart, Whimsical Words greeting, Thoughtful Friend Wheel) and heart punch; EK Success border punch; Hero Arts inks and notecard and pearls and flower; Neenah white paper; Rock Candy Distress Stickles (center of flower)

Here is another super simple card I did with a new set from Stampin' Up.  The cool thing about these Itty Bitty BIts stamps is that they have Itty Bitty Shape punches that are the perfect size for them.  So cool.  However, I decided to make my circles bigger and use a 1/2" circle punch instead…

050410 SU 2 JenMcGuire Supplies: Stampin' Up stamps (Itty Bitty Shape heart, Whimsical Words greeting), inks and punches;  Hero Arts notecard; Neenah white paper; White embossing powder; Versamark

So… that first card used a wheel to stamp the border.  Stampin' Up has new builder wheels that lets you stack one, two or three wheels together on one jumbo handle to create great backgrounds.  Well, I have a set for you!  This includes everything you need to get creating.

Just leave a comment here by Sunday the 9th at 11:59pmEST telling me if you are a cardmaker, scrapbooker or both… and you may win these goodies…

See you tomorrow with another giveaway.  Remember to comment on Monday and Tuesday's posts too if you haven't yet.

Take care.

I am both a scrapbooker (10+yrs) and a cardmaker (3+yrs). I began as a scrapbooker but with two young kids it was hard to find longer periods of time to do a layout. So I found stamping/cardmaking to be a much more instant type of gratification that I could squeeze in during naptime. Thanks for the chance to win!!

I have made cards for longer than most of you gals have been around! My first was a birthday card complete with paper piecings back in May 1972…I remember it well because I goofed on the greeting…it said “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Birthday” in Italian. The fellow I made the card for thought it was pretty funny…so he married me and is still married to me!

  33. Amanda H says:

Both, but it’s a lot easier for me to make cards. I’m such a bad decision maker, that scrapbooking become a looong process.

  34. Shannon says:

I love the small wonders card. so pretty. I am a cardmaker! More of a paper flower maker, onto which I affix to cards…

  40. I started as a cardmaker, swearing that I wouldn’t scrapbook because it was too expensive. Next thing I knew, I had all the supplies except the scrapbook so I almost exclusively scrapbooked for a while. Then I started blurfing and cardmaking took center stage again. I am too lazy to print out pictures so I have to do that before I can scrapbook some more. I’m starting to think that a really good photo printer is in order…

I love making cards. It is so much fun to see others reactions to something that you have made especially for them. I make cards for the homebound at church. One elderly widower came to me one Sunday so excited. He expressed such appreciation when I sent him a Valentine’s Day on the first February 14 since his wife had died. That makes my days.
