Shares for a good cause and a bit of enabling…

(Sorry, it seems something is wrong with leaving posts… a few people say that get an error message.  Not sure if everyone is.  Weird…)

At the retreat, enjoying good company, fab food, wine, laughs and movies.  Ahhh…

And since I am becoming know as the Enabler – hee – I must share some things using the wonderful Cuttlebug. The embossing folders with the Cuttlebug are incredible. This is well worth the $.  These are some I made this afternoon.

Also, I used one of my favorite tricks when I created these cards – something that helps to make several cards quickly.  I take a 4.25"x5.5" piece of white cardstock and cover it with strips of my favorite patterned papers.  Once they are glued in place, I cut several strips from it. Then you can use each strip on a different card.  So, if you look closely, all of these cards have a piece cut from the same larger piece.  Fast and easy and looks complex.

The first will be going to a gal I don’t even know named Lois.  Wilna arranged for folks to send lots of cards to a friend who was ill.  Cards and prayers can go a long way!  I am late to the game to play, but I wanted to anyway.  There is more information HERE, and a gallery of all the incredible cards is HERE

On this one, you can see how good the embossing looks on Hero Arts Kraft notecards. It is so pretty…

Hero Arts Kraft notecard, bird stamp, greeting stamp and pearls
Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder
Scenic Route dotted and grid paper (these are great for backgrounds)
October Afternoon stripe (my favorite stripe paper) and teal floral paper (the backside)
Memories Black Ink
Colored pencils and Gamsol
Close To My Heart jute (inspired by the great Robyn)
Ranger Diamond Stickles (Diamond is the best one)
Colorbox Chalk Ink (for edges)
Pop dots (of course)

This one is for someone at church who unexpectedly lost her husband.  Can’t imagine…

I love the color combination you used on these cards, Jennifer. You’re a constant source of inspiration…so glad you decided to start up a blog! I went ahead & added you to my blogroll. Hope you don’t mind!
