  1. Those embossing folders sure look fun! I cooked dinner for my Mom tonight and we played games with my kids. Tomorrow I am cooking Mother’s Day brunch for my Mother-in-law and Grandmother-in-law and bringing it to them. For me I hope for a little time to relax….

  2. I have three wonderful daughters who always take good care of me and Mother’s Day is no exception. A nice, quiet day just being able to enjoy them and have them home is all I need. Oh, and no cooking!

  3. On Saturday my Brother & I are taking our Mom to a Tea Party! And On Sunday My SIL & I are taking her folks to Brunch! Very excited for this fun filled weekend!! I love my cuttlebug folders & these sure would be welcome in my collection!!

  5. Happy Mothers Day! We’re having a quiet day at home. I’m bringing my Mum down to my place and my brother is coming too. We’re going to get fish and chips for lunch, so there’s no work and little cleaning up. I have made a pie for dessert.

  6. Mother’s Day only gets to our little island on the last Sunday of May, but when it does, I know I’ll be spoilt by my 3 children to breakfast in bed!

  7. I do have to work today for a few hours but I plan on creating in between. I dropped a big enough hint to the family, that I wanted all of the Tim Holtz fades. They just didn’t get here in time for me to play with. Enjoy your day!

    I Live in Melb, Australia. I got a great breakfast in bed (poached eggs), wonderful hugs from my kids. Then we watched my son play Aussie Rules footy for his team the Vampires – they won!! Then a wonderful family lunch at my brothers. Perfect day! Hope yours is great! Jenny Martin

  10. We are watching my daughter play in her 4th grade lacrosse game and later in the day going to a favorite restaurant. No cooking or cleaning for me today. Happy Mother’s day to you and your readers!

  12. We took DH parents out on Friday and we went out on Sunday to eat. Now today we might go to the cabin, where the peeps might put in the dock and have a small lunch.

  14. I am addicted to Sizzix embossing folders…use them all of the time.
    My Mother’s Day weekend started Friday: had a card workshop for 2 seven year old girls, whose Mother’s are single Moms, to make Mother’s Day cards….such fun!!
    I will do the annual Geranium planting in my Mother’s yard today (she is 91)..then my 2 sons will grill steaks and baked potatoes for us….

  15. My mom, sister, SIL, and grandmother are in Illinois, I am in NY so I packaged up some cards to send them and will call to do the big chat! We are going out with my sig other’s Mom and Gram for brunch. Cards for everyone! Even our 4 year old yellow lab sent out Mother’s Day cards to her “aunts” this year!

  16. Going to my oldest daughter’s house for brunch. My other 2 younger daughters will be their and with the grand kids. I fun day I’m sure.

  17. My family will be doing steaks on the grill. I’m supposed to be able to sleep in, and then have a nice relaxing day gardening. Because it’s Mother’s Day, I won’t clean up. I can do it Monday.

  18. We’ll be having brunch with DD & SIL. She’s a hair sytlist so will also be getting cut & color at salon she works at.
    Yesterday we did a Skype call with other DD and granddaughter that live in Vienna, Austria.
    PS–Love the idea of embossing folders covering A2 card size. Great to use for CAS cards.

  19. We are going out to dinner to have some great pizza for Mother’s Day.
    Love those embossing folders. Glad to hear that they will in the Cuttlebug, as I hadn’t tried any Sizzix folders yet. Now I have more choices!

  20. I plan on spending Mother’s Day with my family and enjoying the fact that my husband is going to pamper me by doing all of the daily tasks I do. Loading/Unloading dishwasher, laundry, feeding my son, etc… Seriously. I don’t need jewelry or high priced gifts. Just some appreciation on this day is all I could ask for. And so far so good! 🙂

  21. I will talk to my mom, who lives in Spain, on the phone and spend the rest of the day grading papers (grades are due on Monday!) Happy Mother’s Day!

  22. We celebrated Mother’s Day a day early by hosing my family for a big dinnner. In addition to celebrating the occasion with my mom, and my two sisters who live out of state, we also celebrated my brother’s 50th birthday. Today, the only celebrating we will be doing will be in front of the DVD player or maybe doing some stamping! Hope you have a gerat day!

  23. I plan on calling my dad today… I call him every mother’s day because he raised me and my brother by himself. I think he was an awesome mom and dad!

  24. yesterday i went to a stamping class and then to my sons for a motherday dinner. sunday, i called my daughter and she was sick and was coughing so much she had almost lost her voice.
    maybe we will get together when she is feeling better.

  25. I got my first embossing folder from Stampin Up – it’s the Elegant Bouquet. LOVE IT! For Mother’s Day I went to the cemetary with my dad today to visit gramma. My Dad is 88 and every moment is precious. Other than that, we’re having steaks on the BBQ tonight! What a great way to spend the day, with family!

  26. My Mother’s day has been spent crafting and watching how-to videos….a perfect day! Tonight we’re going over to our neighbor’s for strawberry shortcake to celebrate their daughter’s birthday (she’s an amazing, creative, young woman). Hope to win the embossing folders!

  28. My youngest graduated from High School on Saturday so on Sunday I am doing nothing! I worked hard to get ready for his big day so my big day is going to be spent napping!!

  29. You made me really want those embossing folders! The only plans we had was to return from a camping trip (which was very cold, by the way). Then just spend time at home.

  30. I took half a day off on Friday to drive down to Virginia Beach to celebrate my birthday (May 6) and Mother’s Day with my daughter, son-in-law, and 10 month old grandson. Today (Sunday) we all went to brunch for my daughter’s first Mother’s Day and my first as a grandmother. It was the best!!!

  32. my mother’s day plan this year was to see my darling daughter graduate from college. it was the day before mother’s day and it was so awesome. very emotional i was teary eyed off and on all day. made my mothers day truly spectacular. hugs to you candy

For Mother’s Day my sisters come from out of town and my brother is local and we take my mother out to a local small restaurant where they have a buffet and we stuff ourselves –once a year we get to do this. We then go to my Mother’s house and spend the afternoon talking, hanging out and we take a lot of pictures which my daughter scrapbooks. My husband always gives me a hanging flower basket and my daughter gives me something different every year. Happy Mother’s Day ladies.

  34. My son is preparing for finals next week so I’m holed up in my scrapbook area checking our blogs for inspiration and looking forward to watching Celebrity Apprentice tonight. That’s my Mother’s Day plan!

  35. I spent the last 4 days with my mom at the Scrapbook Mega Meet in Detroit. She had a fabulous time taking classes and shopping together.

  36. Happy Mother’s Day! for mine- we went to church and then my husband made a wonderful steak dinner with baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes and an organic green salad. so yummy! And my daughter made brownies from scratch! Then we played monopoly to continue a game from last night fun family time! Now i am on computer and blogging -a fun outlet for me!

  38. Instead of having a quiet day today, my husband and I offered to babysit 6 of our nieces and nephews, so that their parents can enjoy a day at a concert. (and we have 3 of our own) Talk about being out numbered..LOL

  39. Spending Mother’s Day with my best friends…my Mom and Husband (of course it wouldn’t be complete without my 2 yr old daughter)! My Husband is so wonderful and makes dinner for my family to celebrate all the Mother’s!
