Video (again) and a giveaway (again)

Hi!

Quick post tonight – I have a bad allergy headache.  Wowsers.

First, we have two winners of the Jolees goodies: Stacy M and Tanya.  I will email you both.

Oh, I must mention before i forget.  Want to see an amazing layout?  Click HERE.  Wow!  Robyn is incredible.

Next, I have a video over on 2peas.  It shows how I used the new die cutting machine, the Slice (from Making Memories) to create a paper ornament.  If you are curious about the Slice, it shows it in use.  If you don’t have one, you can also watch it to learn how to create a paper ornament, but you could instead use punched shapes or other die cuts. 🙂  Click HERE for all the info on the project.

So, the giveaway I have today happens to be one of my favorite BasicGrey stamp sets.  Why I am giving it away?  I accidently bought two.  Der.  🙂  But my ditziness is your gain.  Hee.   Just leave a comment on this post by 11:59pmEDT on Sunday telling me your most common used thing for letters (stickers, chipboard, die cut, rub-on, stamps, etc).  I will pick a winner of this great BasicGrey stamp set…

My favourite use for letters seems to be for my daughter who delights in using them for her projects!!! When I go to use them for scrapbooking or cards, there always seems to be an “a” or “e” missing! It could get pretty expensive keeping her stocked in chipboard and thicker letters….

  9. Sarah says:

My two favorite things are my clear stamps and my colored pencils.

  10. sue wisniewski says:

I use my stamps absolutely the most. I enjoy making cards, books and altering things like tins or paper mache things.

  11. Becky Whitaker says:

I love the rub ons. I use them on cards and also on glass items, but I mostly use stamps and my cricut machine. Have never used chipboard.

  12. tape says:

For scrapbooking I most often use fonts. For cards I mainly use stamps. Letter stickers come in second for both.

  14. mj says:

i always use stamps! hope you feel better soon! 🙂

  15. Pam C. says:

Love the ornament. I use all kinds of things for lettering, depending on what I am making. When I first started, I just used stickers. Since then, my options have opened up as I have built up supplies and received gifts. Stickers have come a long way since I first started making cards.

Thanks for a chance to win and have a great day.

  16. sophie says:

It has to be chipboards and my handwriting! To make my chipboards last longer, I actually trace the letters onto patterned paper or cardstock and cut them out to use. So my chipboard set of letters is a template of sorts.

  17. Joyce M says:

I think that rub-on and chipboard are a close tie. If it’s cards, it’s rub-ons. If it is a LO I use chipboard and sometimes rub-ons.

  18. Karen from Ontario says:

Nice tutorial. I have to say that I use rubber stamps for the lettering and sentiments.
Thanks for the chance to win.

  19. Brenda Piercy says:

I use chipboard for most of my lettering. I love the versatility and dimension it adds to my layouts.

  21. Laurie says:

for the longest time i was almost exclusively a sticker person for letters but lately i’m generally chipboard and rub-ons (seriously about 50-50)…

love the ornament. my slice arrives next week for my b-day…i can’t wait!

Hi sweet friend! I LOVE that ornament! SO beautiful. I NEED a slice! One day. Sigh! 😉 I love Robyn’s work, too! Usually for letters I use AC Thickers. I have about 100 packs of them! Ha! I know you can relate, right? 😉 Thank you! Have a great weekend! Hugs!

  30. Robin Willis says:

Great video!! If I didn’t already have a Silhouette, I would so be getting the Slice. I will have to try this ornament sometime soon.
My favorite way to do letters is stamping. My second favorite would be chipboard letters.
What a beautiful set of stamps you are offering for blog candy. Count me in!
    thanks
    Robin

  31. Martina McKenzie says:

Not to sound indecisive, but I really like all of them and try to change things up a bit by using a different type of product, if I can. Thanks for your consideration. Awesome that you are able to think of everyone out there and give such nice gifts.

    Martina

  32. Debby Greenlaw says:

I use a variety of lettering, but probably the most often I use stamps. Hope you’re feeling better.

  33. Cassie D says:

I like to use all different things, but I think most often I cut my own out of chipboard with my cricut. I usually cut them out of paper and chipboard and glue the paper/cardstock onto the chipboard.
This is especially good if I don’t have the right color thickers or other purchased letters.

  34. kim smart says:

hope you feel better soon! one of my favorite things to use for letters is either thickers or my trusty stamps! i love them!

  35. Josiek says:

Mine has to be either stickers or rub-ons definitely. I really like my own handwriting as well so that’s probably the third tool.
    Hope your headache is better!!
