Let’s celebrate…

Hi, everyone!

Ivotedsticker

Let's celebrate election day!  I am so glad it is finally here.  I have another giveaway to celebrate!  And for you non-US people, you can play, too, of course. 🙂

But I do have to say, I hate the day after the election.  Even if I am happy with who won, I still feel SO bad for the person who didn't win.  Imagine how sad they are after putting so much into it?  I feel the same way when someone gets booted off Dancing With the Stars.  Ha. 🙂

How about a couple quick shares.  This is from an old Autumn Leaves project, but I wanted to share anyway.  The challenge was to use all my current favorite products on one project.  Turns out not much has changed – still buttons, gems, sewing, stamping, flowers, enlarged photos, mini photos and computer journalling.  (The only thing I would add now is AC's Thickers. 🙂

And this is from Hero Arts.  I just stumbled upon it today and thought I would share it here.  Isn't Erin Cobb's daughter gorgeous?  I would love for Erin to take pictures of my family someday, along with Lisa Russo.  My dreams. 🙂

And I have a winner of the Jamie Scraps kit from Sunday's post is Carol B!  I will email you.

You still can enter yesterday's drawing for the fabulous Studio Calico kit if you post HERE by tonight.

And… finally… today's giveaway!  Just leave a comment on this post by 11:59pmEDT on Wednesday night and I will pick a random winner of this great 6×6 BasicGrey Offbeat paper pack.  (It is perfect for cardmaking. I just ordered one from 2peas for myself and decided to order an extra to give away here.)  And, can you help me out?  In your comment, please give me some ideas of questions I could ask you all for my giveaway comments.  Anything you want to learn about your fellow stampers?  I loved asking about your recipe ideas.  I am collecting some from you all and will share soon.  Thank you!  Oh, and here is the BG paper pack you could win…

  1. -Favorite adjectives
-What were your wedding colors? Would you choose a different wedding color scheme now?
-How do you incorporate your stamping/scrapping into your home decor? Your workplace?
-What were you doing a year ago today? What do you expect to be doing a year from today?
-What is your favorite “hard to get” treat? (For me, that’s Starbucks. It’s a 22 mile drive!)
-Does your wardrobe reflect the colors you use on your scrapbook pages/stamping projects? If not, why?

  2. Hi Jennifer! Some ideas:

Where do find good deals on scrapbooking supplies?

Do you participate in any Challenge blogs?

What are topics for mini books that you’ve created?

What are you making as holiday gifts this year?

What Design Teams people have tried out for?

Your favorite Scrapbooking magazine or book

…that’s all stuff I’d love to know from people. Hope that helps!

I’m glad we’re your happy place because your blog is certainly mine!

  3. It’s harder to come up with a question than I thought. How about…Where are you located? or How/when did you start stamping/scrapping? or What did you want to be when you grew up?

  4. Thank you for all your great inspiration that you continually share with us.

One question that I always am interested in is: How long have you been stamping (or scrapbooking or papercrafting)?

  5. OHHH I can come up with questions . . . it’s the answers that are hard!

These questions can be adapted to stamping, scrapbooking, or other related crafts.

    1. What is the most unusual/funniest/strangest/ layout (or card) you have ever done.

    2. Have you ever had a goof that turned out a success? What are some mistakes you have made you managed to correct, incorporate or cover? How did you do it?

    3. Have you ever had one of your efforts that was praised and admired far beyond your expectations. Did you ever do something you thought would turn out great, but just didn’t end up looking like what you wanted. Did you take it apart, throw it away, or use it anyway?

    4. Have you used your paper arts skills to create gifts, tags, cards, wraps or something else beside a scrapbook.

5.What is one of your favorite secret or trick with scrapbooking?

    6. What was your favorite stamp/embellishment/technique a year ago? Is it the same today?

    7. What is a new technique (or something new you are doing) you have tried in the last 3 months.

    8. What is current favorite scrapbooking tool – you can name both a large (over $50) and a small (under $10) one.

    9. Is there something that was not originally made for paper crafts that you have found a use for in scrapbooking.

    10. What is something you have learned from this blog that you have put to use? (Thinking about it doesn’t count!)

  6. I’m new to this blog, and my question would be what are the best sources for card/tag ideas – I want to make tags as xmas gifts, but need help coming up with ideas. I’ve used the Hero Arts website before, and two peas – are there others i am missing?

  7. Some questions…
What is your favorite holiday embellishment?
    Where are you from?
    What is your favorite memory?
What is your favorite type of card to make?
    Most frequent card topic?
    Most used tool?

  8. Opps I forgot to add the question…

    What’s your favorite season?
    Do you have any pets?
    Your favorite vacation destination?
    Your favorite song?
    Your favorite quote?
If you could invite two people to dinner just for fun who would they be?

  9. This new basic gray line is GREAT!! i hear you for having to come up with questions… my favorite question is what is your favorite cereal? I think it is always to funny to find out what people love to start their mornings off with… thanks!

  10. Still coming down from the voting and election high. There’s nothing more invigorating than a chance for a new beginning. Here’s some ideas: name an item you couldn’t craft without last year but never use now, name your 3 must have crafting tools, name one way you use a particular item or medium that someone else may not have discovered yet. Not very original, I know, but my brain hurts from all of the thinking I’ve had to do today! 🙂

  11. Hi Jennifer, thanks for a chance to win some yummy paper. I love, love, love your work.

Here are some sample questions to ask us:
    * Where were you born?
    * What are your favorite shoes?
    * What is our favorite movie?
    * What is your favorite actor?
    * If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
    * If you could choose any profession (other than your current one), what would it be?

  12. I love the Basic Grey and would love to win. Yes it is a wonderful day in this country that we can have a smooth transition of power and it doesn’t hurt that my guy won. Thanks for voting.

  13. this is kind of in general but I always like social questions, like off scrapbooking questions. Because I sometimes need to take my mind off of scrapbooking for a second. 🙂

  14. LOL! Ideas for giveaway comment questions, huh? LOL! I don’t know if that counts as a giveaway question! HA! Ask us what you are really curious about. You are the one who gets stuck reading them, so just go about your day and when randomness pops into your head, ask about that! Like…How far do you drive to get to work every day? How many people live in your house? How many pets live in your house? What color of ink just makes you smile even if you don’t use it that often. Just ask something that you want to read the answers to!

  15. Love your “fave things” LO – he’s the cutest! And I have to agree w/ you on your list – esp. the enlarged photos/mini photos. But, I would add ribbons and take out the sewing – I can’t sew a lick! 🙁
As for questions to ask…have you asked about fave things? Top 3 items you craft with, fave colors to work with, fave time of day to scrap…and it doesn’t have to stop w/ scrap stuff – could be fave shows, fave shoes or purse (hmm…that’s a topic I’d be interested in!) 😉

  16. Thanks for the chance to win…. Some questions for you……
-What is the most “thoughtful” gift you have “received” and why…
-What is your favorite holiday memory as a child? Have you scrapped it (even if you have no pictures)
-If you could spend the day scrapping with a scrappin pro, who would it be?
    – what if you could spend the day scrapping with “anyone” whose story would you most like to journal?
Thanks again for the chance to win, Karen Loper

  17. Thanks for the chance!

What are your favorite traditions around the holidays? Your favorite gift you received? Least favorite gift? What are you most grateful for? What was the craziest thing you ever have done?

  18. Oh! That paper pad is so cute! I love the colors.

How about asking everyone to tell you a clean joke? We could all use a good laugh!

(Here’s one: What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground beef!)

Anywho, thanks for the great giveaway! Have a good evening!

  19. just discovered your blog…super fun eye candy here…thanks for the chance to win…

Here’s a question for you now that it’s getting cooler outside; what’s your favorite crock-pot recipe?
