Happy Monday… with a yummy giveaway…

Hope everyone is well!

I have a winner of the BasicGrey stamp set.  The lucky one is… Michelle Jadaa!  I will email you.

Thanks for all your ideas.  I will share some over the next few weeks.

I am off to California tomorrow for some meetings at Hero Arts.  Can't wait to see my Hero girls there – I have been missing them.  Just a quick post for tonight.

Quick share.  This was from a class a few weeks ago.  To do those snowflakes, I stamped with Versamark ink on vellum.  Then I traced over the stamped images with an dry embossing tool.  I then added it to the card upside down, so the raised area is up.  (If you want to see a video showing this technique, click HERE.)  The trees are stamped on the card behind the vellum in blue – looks like faraway trees.  This card is small – 4.25"x2.5"

Mini 3
All Hero Arts products.

And a giveaway!  Woohoo.  I love doing this. :)  I have two of these yummy sets from Making Memories – want to give one away.  Here's your chance… just leave a comment on this post by Tuesday at 11:59pmEDT telling me if you are a scrapbooker, cardmaker or both.  Here is the great Making Memories set…

I will be posting from CA, including more scraproom stuff.  See ya soon!

I am a scrapbooker, but I also make cards with my SB stash. 🙂

First I was a scrapbooker (began many, many moons ago)but I was also a collector of stamps too(didn’t use them, just bought them *L* I lived near the only stamp store in town, and I was new to the area and knew nonone so this at least got me out of the apt. but sadly the store is long gone now). Then I became intrigued by clear stamps in the past two years and thus began the downward spiral into “stamp addiction”. Now I would say that I am more a stamper/cardmaker, since you can crank those babies out in a shorter amount of time with a feeling of accomplishment! But I still enjoy scrapbooking when I have longer periods of time to work on them. Thanks for sharing so many of your great ideas and techniques!!

    Hi Jennifer,

Cute card, your vellum is much clearer than any I’ve seen before.

I’m a card maker – but would love to give scrapping a chance soon. I’m going to be a gramma! I’d love to make a scrapbook for our new little one!

BOTH! I was a card maker first…I made my first card 15 years ago for Christmas the first year I was married…I couldn’t afford an embossing gun so I made each and every card in the oven @ 200 degrees. Nine years ago, pregnant with my first child I started scrapbooking. I love both hobbies…I still make my Christmas card every year and scrapbook often but don’t seem to spend as much time as I’d like on both hobbies…I’d love love love a new stamp set! I promise to find time asap to play!

I’m definetely a scrapbooker … though with a large family who loooves handmade cards, I’m often more of a cardmaker! Though I can’t say I mind the oohs and aahs that accompany card openings 🙂

  16. Your blog is awesome!
I hardly ever use vellum since it seems hard to incorporate in my scrapbook pages.
I don’t know why! Maybe it’s my style.

Loved your card and stamping ideas. I started out as a scrapbooker but then got into cards. I now do mostly cards and just love it. Most of my photos I just keep on the computer and CD’s but when I do put them into albums I use stamps for decorating my pages alot.

    Hello Jennifer,
I am an active card maker but I’m a scrapbooker in waiting! My stash consists of albums, tools and loads and loads of pictures to start but always feel overwhelmed just thinking about it. I guess I’ll wait until I retire so that I have the time to put into a scrapbook.

  35. Jan says:

I love both, but card making is getting more attention lately. I started paper crafting as a card maker.

  36. HeatherC says:

I would say that I am primarily a scrapbooker, then a papercrafter, then a cardmaker — in that order. I used to stamp a lot more then I do now, but have recently started to use my stamps a lot more in my books — especially ABCs and journal boxes. The holiday season is always a peak stamping time for me!
