A good reason to be thankful…

Remember the Card Drive for Kids that I did over the summer?  The three kiddos – my nieces and nephews – who had just moved to Africa to do mission work?

Well, their hard work is finally paying off.  They were able to open their dental clinic in Liberia – an area that needed such a clinic in a very bad way.

Keith (who is the dentist, my brother-in-law and the one who sings in my videos) just sent us a video of the new clinic.  I can’t wait to see a video of their new home, too!  They had 72 people at their home for Thanksgiving today.  Yes.  72.

So, in your list of things you are thankful for today, please include the Chapman family for all they are doing for people.  God bless them!  And, if you want to leave a message for them, feel free to do it here and I will pass it on to them.

Here is the video.   For more information on their work, click HERE.

(By the way, Kristin promised to send photos of the kids with the cards in the next few days.)

Have a blessed day!

  1. Oh how great is your BIL and family. I saw the video and read some of his webpage and the story of Sam. How blesses is your family to receive such a beautiful little boy and how blessed is he to be placed in a wonderful home! TFS.
Hope you had a wonderful holiday!

  2. Impressive tour, I’m so glad that things are coming together for them at the clinic. How appropriate that the video was posted in time for Thanksgiving, yet one more reminder how the dental care I so often take for granted is a true blessing. Happy Thankgiving, Chapman family!

  3. How beautiful!!!! My cousin goes to Africa with her church every year and does a lot of missionary work. Its so beautiful to see and know that there are still good people in this world that are not out just for themselves! It brings tears to my heart… thank you Keith and to all the people who think of others too 🙂
    Happy Thanksgiving & God Bless!

  5. The video of the Trinity Dental Clinic was wonderful. Can’t believe how much you have accomplished. I’m assuming you built the building, too. I’m sure your clinic will be filled with patients. I think it’s great that you are training others to let your skills. Taking care of one’s teeth is so important to good health. Can’t believe you had 72 for Thanksgiving. WOW! Continue your good work and may God bless you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving. Can’t wait to see a picture of your children with the cards.

  6. After seeing the video, I wondered if you’re brother-in-law might be with SIM so I checked out the website. How neat to find out that he was! I’m actually headed to Niger with SIM in about six months. The clinic looks wonderful and I’m sure God will use it to be a blessing to many. Thanks for sharing.

  9. Please send your BIL and family prayers and blessings from the other side of the world. Similar goal as theirs, different focus, same eternal purpose!

  10. Oh, Jennifer, I think your brother-in-law and his family are so wonderful. I got a lump in my throat reading about their work and watching the video. It’s so hard for me to face the world with all the rotten, lousy things people do to one another – like the terrorists in India last week. But then I get to see something like this, and it gives me the strength to fight back. I wish all the good things people do for one another would make the headlines – would do all of us a world of good. Please tell your BIL and his family that their good works reach much further than they will ever know. Thank them for me for being such a blessing.

  11. I watched the other Trinity video and was moved to tears, what an amazing journey your brother-inlaw and sister-inlaw are on. What a blessing that clinic will be to so many.
Thank you for sharing with is Jennifer.

    Sincerely,
    Jen
