  1. Great plan! I once made a notebook filled with monthly pages then added a ppcket page for the cards I made. On the monthly page I listed each day with the names of people’s birthdays. Simple but soon the pockets filled and was not manageable. Your idea solves all as it provides enough room using the plastic bins, maintains flexibility with additional names and address changes, and just gives so much more usability. I love it.

    1. She talked in the gift guide video about assorted colored A2 envelopes but I don’t think she linked them there either. I do like the idea of mixing up my envelope colors and wish I could find these.

  2. Hi Jennifer, I’m unable to locate the card sleeves you showed in your post. Can you please provide? Thanks!

  3. Thank you sooooo much for this post. I really struggle with birthdays too and this will be great for me to try. I have always been hesitant to make cards for family & friends in advance (no idea why!) and this gives me mental permission to do that. Thank you!!!

  4. Great cards and ideas! I don’t see the products listed at the bottom. That would be helpful to see with picture and where to purchase. Thanks!!

  5. Love the cards and your organization idea. I have some card boxes that I got from Hallmark a couple of years ago that I’ve been using to put my cards. Like your system, they are organized by month. What I’ve had trouble with is remembering what style card I sent to whom so I don’t repeat for that recipient or someone else in the household. Your idea is so simple and I’m going to give it a try. Thanks!

  6. Please tell us where you got your colored envelopes. I really like color and try to use colored envelopes too. Thanks!

  7. These are fabulous cards, Jennifer! You used a number of things on my wish list – so, thanks for the inspiration!! Great idea for keeping track of birthdays/anniversaries – I hope it helps you send more cards.

  8. I really enjoy seeing alternative ways to keep organized. I have been using the calendar app on my iphone to list all the birthdays I want to send a card to. I set it to remind me a week prior to the date. I then have a box that I keep cards by theme/holiday and when I get a reminder I go to the box and tab for birthday and pull out a card that would be good for the recipient. I then address it and send out. The recipient’s name and address is also stored on my iphone under contacts. It has been working great for me for years.

  9. You are Amazing Jennifer. The ideas you come up with are supper. Loved the cards and need to get a few more supplies.
    Thanks for your ideas

  10. Thanks for this awesome video! I had some reward points waiting for me at MFT Stamps and I had to have these fireworks! I send out Christmas thank you notes in the form of New Year cards, so the fireworks are just the perfect thing to say thanks and happy new year at the same time. And obviously these will be great for birthdays and other celebrations as well.

  11. Thanks Jennifer, for the great idea on remembering birthdays! I love your file system. I’m good at making the cards but often forget to send them. Your cards are very festive, BTW. This month’s release from My Favorite Things is really fun!

  12. Love your idea to remember what cards you’ve sent people especially birthdays, I struggle with this issue. Great video!

  13. I have been trying to figure out a way to keep track of what card I sent to each person. So far no great ideas. I am going to try your system. It looks perfect for what I had in mind. Thank you for sharing your always fantastic ideas and cards.

  14. This is a great organizational tip! It will inspire some of us to make cards ahead that are still intentionally made for the specific person.

  15. Your organization method is super. I’m going to give it a try in the new year. I’m also going to try making more backgrounds, then adding a die cut sentiment. Thanks for all the inspiration.

  16. I have found the app Photo Notes to be helpful just more recently. I take a photo of a card or ones that are similar and then in the notes keep track of how many that were made that were similar and then who I sent it to and when. Seems to be working out with almost 1 years worth of cards. I have made folders that are Anniversary, Christmas, manly birthday, anyone birthday, baby, etc so it keeps it all pretty organized

  17. Such a great idea. I have a book that lists birthdays, which I always forget to look at. Putting them in a file like this might just work for me and stop me scrambling at the last minute

  18. What a great Idea to have a clear envelope for the people you always send cards to.

I found a card box at a Thrift Store that came with monthly dividers and then Dividers for types of cards. For example, Birthday Female, Birthday Male, Sympathy, Thank You….etc.

Filling this up has helped me be ready for all the different occasions. But, I never seem to get it full!

Thanks for all your wonderful ideas. I have learned so much from you.

  19. Love this system to organize! But question:” Is this really your card container you gave the link to Amazon? The divided one? I think I just ordered the wrong one. Lol
