  1. Thank you for for all I have learned from your videos!!!! You have helped save my sanity during this stay at home year. And my cards have really improved!!!

  2. Jennifer McGuire “the lady with the wire in her name!” as Sequoia used to say! Your big heart is showing! This video made me cry! I have not been able to do much crafting for so long now because of health issues. I sometimes feel sorry for myself. . . little pity party. . ., but I feel bad not being able to encourage or put a smile on someone’s face with a Suzi-made card. My daughter turned 50 this week, and try as I might, I could not maneuver well enough to get a card made! It broke my heart! Your video is a reminder of how important, not silly, this craft is! I will watch every one of your “favorites” videos and take notes! I will be encouraged and inspired to push on, to get better, to figure ways to do things differently without causing pain. There’s gotta be a way! I want to do this! I need to do this! Thank you, my never-met friend, my sister in Christ! I love you!

  3. Jennifer, thanks for all this information and. Love your videos! I just donated to the Kartchner on their Go Fund Me page!

  4. Unfortunately it looks like I will miss all of this fun stuff. I tried to ender my info but it won’t accept my email address because they say my email is already taken. The one that pops up on the screen to click on is the wrong info. I have received JM emails for a long time with no problems. Sorry I will have to miss this.

  5. WOW! Jennifer thanks for posting the TEDx from Collin…..My children are grown; but I posted his TEDtalk on my facebook so they could hear and hopefully, protect my grandchildren!

An important lesson for ALL of us; not just the children!

  6. I’m having trouble with my password. I have a message saying they do not match, so don’t know what I should do next. I had been
getting crafty sales notices and also new crafty tools updates, but lately haven’t received either. I’m not technologically literate with the computer,so that might be the problem.

  7. Hi Jennifer
Marie from the UK. I must say that I am a newbie at making cards. Since I have been in lockdown ( February) I am in shielding as I have a lot of health problems. Your YouTube channel has saved my life. If I get down or are in pain out come my big shot sizzix and I witch your channel and many many hours later I have a fantastic card ( or I think so lol).
I just wish that I could get the stuff you use in England. Found one place I could get some but over 20 – 30 pounds postage and taxes it’s out of my price range.
I love what you do with blender pens and distress Oxide inks. The stamps and dies omg don’t get me started .
So from the bottom of my heart and I thank god that he lead me to you . Thank you so very much I’m in paper heaven.
Keep doing what your doing and thank you

  8. Jennifer, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your videos!!! I watch EVERY one. You inspire me to buy some products and to use your ideas with products that I already have. I am a relatively new card maker. And I have not been in the art world until now. I have been doing needlework for most of my life (old lady) but not until recently art. When I first decided to make cards I watched practically every video I came across. I only now follow a few artists. Occasionally I see a video that I like by an additional artist but rarely do I continue to watch them unless I like most of their videos. I love your videos because you teach techniques not just a particular card. Please continue to create and to share with us your talent.

  9. Thanks Jennifer, for keeping me in the loop. I always learn so much from you. From sales and great techniques.

  10. Thank you Jennifer for all you do for us crafters and then I’m thinking about your videos, great tutorials keeping us up to date with the sales and many, many things more.
I love that you have decided to make My Favorite Crafty Things 2020, I love that series so much and it have helpt me with buying things that are great and prevent me from buying stuff I don’t need.
Great ot see that the craft community is gattering together again for such a great cause, I hope the auction will raise a lot of money.
Stay safe, have a wonderful weekend and stay the wonderful and caring woman with a beautiful heart that you are.

  11. Thank you and your kind spirit for bringing joy and crafting to us! I live in CA and our numbers are so high, I work on healthcare so I don’t have the option to work from home. Crafting is my way of dealing with stress and you make it so much more enjoyable!!
You are truly a beautiful person inside and out!!

  12. Hi Jennifer I am emailing from New Zealand but I really love watching your tutorials, I am a few friends get together with Stampin Up here and enjoy it, but I find the things that I watch you making are different to what we are doing here, so thank you for giving me ideas of other ways of doing things, I have been tempted to send for some of the things that you use in your card making but with the time of the year and Covid making things difficult I will wait until some things settle down, but just wanted you to know that even though we are so far away I am enjoying what you are doing, with the run up to Christmas now with which has been a horrible year, thank you again and please keep on doing what you are so good and passion able about.

    Regards Jill

  13. Jennifer, you HAVE to feel the love from all the comments to this video! And should you ever question your effectiveness and reach, just check out the websites you link to for products: within a day, they are ALWAYS sold out of whatever products you’ve used in the videos!! Trust me, it’s happened to me many times, that I couldn’t buy whatever you last demonstrated! Thank you for all you do. Crafting has literally saved my sanity this year. Like you, I am staying isolated due to health conditions. I wish you all the best. You are so wonderful!

  14. I didn’t realize how much work you put into making these videos about your craft, not the crafting but the the behind the scenes work. THANK YOU for all the time and energy you put into your videos.

  15. Hi Jennifer, I have tried to sign up for your newsletter, but I’m told you already have my email address. However, I never receive any emails from you? Any ideas on what I can do?

    Thank you,
    Susan

  16. Thank you for changing your mind about favourite crafty thing videos for this year,While back I accidentally came across one of your videos and i’ve been looking forward to see your new ideas, wonderful tips and encoraging words ever since. your videos helped me tremendously with my anxiety and stress during the pandemic and guided me to dive deeper into crafting universe. i will be forever thankful for that. Thanx to your videos I was able to buy and continue to buy craft supplies that fit my needs perfectly and i was confused about before. also want to thank you for your unconditional love for all crafters and hard work you do. its amazing how many people could come forward and participate in auction for Karchner family. i hope it will help the family heal and continue Collin’s legacy. Thanx again for everything you do. stay safe and have those creative juices continue to flow! sending lots of love and hugs!

  17. I made a donation but instead of sending a card to me (it sound a little bit stupid to incur shipping costs for Switzerland,
although I would be honored to receive a card from you!!!!!!), may I ask you to send a simpathy card to Collin Kartchner’s Family? It hurts! It hurts so bad even after 28 years!!!

YOU INSPIRE PEOPLE NOT ONLY IN CRAFTING BUT MOSTLY TO BE A BETTER PERSON!!! THANK YOU JENNIFER!!!!!

  18. Hello Jennifer,

Hope all is well. I have been watching your videos and taking your classes for a while. I always learn something new every time.
As expressed by others you are an inspiration to others. When those days happen and I can’t think of a new technique, I remember
hey that why I took your class or watch a video.
You probably didn’t relieves that effect you would be and loved by so many. But we appreciate you and your desire to uplift others.
I pray that you and your family stay safe during this time.
I have to remember that God is still in control and this to shall pass.
    Thanks Erica K,

  19. You have provided so much inspiration to me since you started and for that I am grateful. Yes, I get ideas for techniques and design from you, but I get to share a love of a craft (that I started doing in 1969! – yes, I am old!) where we get fulfillment in doing it and in sharing our love. Your joy of what you do and the love you have for your family fills my inky heart. Thank you for all you share!

  20. When it comes time to cut your hair you may want to consider donating it to a business that specializes in wigs for children with hairless. We have one in Michigan that provides wigs for children at no cost to the family. Their website is childrenwithhairloss.us located in S. Rockwood, MI.
I love your videos and have learned a lot from watching them. Keep up the great work.

  21. Soooo, happy you are going to do the my favorite things series! I look forward to it every year! Hope you will also include “my favorite non crafty things” this year! Thanks for all you do!!!

  22. Hi Jennifer *waves hello from the UK* 😊 I just wanted to say how LOVELY it was to see you on camera in this video! 😁 I’m a huge fan of yours and love watching your videos, you inspire and totally blow me away with your creativity every time! This little teaser has got me all excited for your 2020 favourites to come….. I’m so glad you’re doing it, I’ll have even more products to import from America then! 😊 not many are available here in the UK, but I’m happy to support the independent American companies (nit just those you mention, but other small brands as well) and buy direct (and just not look at the cost of import! Haha!).
The story of Colin Kartchner is so sad 😞 his poor family. I will see I can donate from abroad….. I wonder if I still get a Jennifer original?! (It will be framed in my craft room if I do! Haha).
One final thing, I LOVE the rainbow ornament you had in the background on this video! Is it a special make or something we could source and buy as well?
Stay safe, keep well, and thank you for the constant inspiration even during the toughest of times! Karen xxx

  23. Jennifer: thanks for this video. It is super sweet of you to take into consideration that it has been a hard year for many and be worried that it may be insensitive to post about buying stamps. However, I am in 100% agreement with the fact that your videos ARE a welcome escape and DO SO MUCH GOOD during this difficult time. Please keep dong what you’re doing, if you can. (I’ve often said that I feel the worst for mom’s of young kids who are trying to do their jobs and be teachers to their kids, so sending prayers your way! ) I am a primary care physician and my husband is a nurse practitioner. He works in a local ICU. My days are hard and your videos, with your pleasant caring voice and great tips are A WELCOME RESPITE!! I’m not going to lie, sometimes I go to sleep listening to your calm pleasant videos on my phone. Thanks for caring. Thanks for being a strong Christian woman. Wishing you and your family blessed holidays.

    1. Susan – I’m so touched by your comment. I want to thank you (and your hubby) for your service. You are the people fighting for us day in and day out! I totally echo everything in your comment about the respite found in Jennifer’s videos. I pray that you and your family stay safe and well. – Carolyn C.

  24. Hi Jennifer!

  25. As a teacher I want to say, “Thank you,” for putting your kids learning first!! I’m teaching hybrid this year and man, is it difficult! We have super small classes, but can’t let the students interact with one another – closer than 6 ft. anyway. We hybrid teachers are literally teaching two separate classes everyday – in person and online. We are teaching all day and coming home and working 4-5 hours more just to keep our heads above water. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining and I am grateful for each day I get to spend with kids – they are my world. I didn’t think it would be this exhausting – but well worth it. Anyway, over the summer I created birthday cards for every person working in my school. I don’t sign my name – just have it from our school. Because I found so much satisfaction in creating these, I try to carve out time each week to continue creating. Your ideas are so inspirational and helpful. Thank you so much!

  26. Jennifer, I think the card making industry as a whole thanks you for your enormous contribution. As it should be, your kids come first! One day I hope you can look back and see this as a huge gift the world has been given, to grow closer to our loved ones. While we are in the midst of it, we get bogged down by the stuff of the world.

As a Christian, you are a shining light on giving within your own resources. Your kind, loving spirit shines through in all your videos. It is so nice to see the beautiful, busy, kind woman behind the voice and hands!

There will always be trolls. They use their anonymity as power. No one knows what unkindness they spout when they go out in the world. They believe they hide their dark heart. It is hard to come back repeatedly to the slaps and wounds they inflict. Somehow, Jennifer your light is never hidden, you keep shining through.

  27. Dearest Jennifer,
You have the biggest heart and it is the main reason why I watch your videos. Learning about new products and technics is just a bonus. What you teach most of all — and I am not saying this to diminish your considerable arts-and-crafts- related talents — is kindness and generosity. That is why I keep coming back. Sometimes I have your videos running in the background (because most of my hours are spend working) to feel your companionship. I LOVE your long videos, I love your voice, your warmth, your honesty, your kindness. Yes, 2020 is almost unbearably hard for so many people, hard for everyone, but you always put a smile on my face and countless others. I’m glad your doing “my favorite things”. It means a few additional long videos to watch and knowing where to “invest” my money 😉 And btw: my hair hasn’t been cut in 2020 either — finally I have one thing in common with you, other than our love for card making 😉
For sure I will check that auction out because when times are tough we all have to play our part to make this world a better and more just place one small step at a time.
THANK YOU so very much for all you do, I wish that the love and caring that you put into the world returns to you tenfold. You deserve no less,
    Caroline

  28. Bless you, Dear Jennifer. You are such an inspiration in crafting AND in being caring and kind. Thank you so very much. I am very thankful for having your influence in my life. Hugs, sherry

  29. Jen I love all your videos and presently get them all…..so I need to sign up again to continue to receive them ???

  30. I particularly like Hanging with My Gnomies and Ink Blot Shop. The Ink Blot Shop reminds me of all the ways we used to write and communicate that are becoming a thing of the past.

  31. I think Elizabeth was the first person to win the title scrapbooker of the year by the magazine Creating Keepsakes. That was many years ago. I’m glad you are doing the favorite things videos. I would love to support small crafty businesses.

  32. We out here are thanking you for all you teach us and all you do for us. I started making cards when I turned 67 because of my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Through teachers like you I have learned so many tips and techniques to make them better all the time. Thank you so much for being here for all of us out here that are learning.

  33. I, too, am SO thankful you have decided to do this series again. This year has indeed been a rough one, but knowing I have my scrapping/card making escape makes the days a little brighter. Watching and learning new techniques and seeing new products gives me something to look forward to. I teach preschool and the past 8 months have been so hard emotionally…I miss hugging my kiddos…so I welcome the craft room escape!!

Thank you for ALL you do to in this crafting industry! You have the biggest heart.

BTW….LOVE the outtake on the video! I had to chuckle at the hair! I’m right there with you. This is the longest my hair has ever been and it is needing a cut BAD!!!!

  34. I just wanted to say a huge Thank You for everything you do. I’m new to cardmaking and all of your videos really and truly help me. Thank you again!

  35. Jennifer, I have to agree with so many others. I know your videos are a labor of love and probably exhausting. However… at the risk of sounding selfish… your long videos are my favorite! 😁

  36. Thank you for doing your Favorite Crafty Things videos this year! Not only do I think that its a great way to promote some of our favorite businesses, but its a great way for us to get some great products we can use to make some great cards. I have recently virtually reconnected with several friends having a hard time being in quarantine and they have started to make cards as an outlet and have been sending cards to relatives, friends, teachers, first responders – everyone. THIS video series will help those ‘newbie’ card crafters to expand their inventory with the best. Thanks again!

  37. Jennifer, on a personal note I want to thank you for your inspiration. Not just on the crafty side, which I truly enjoy all that you do, but for your caring heart and your want to give to those in need. You should be a mentor to young girls and people everywhere who may need some guidance and learn the joy of thinking of and helping others. The world could certainly use more people like you. Thank you for all that you do, your caring and sharing and giving!

  38. Thank you for sharing your talents. I have learned so much from watching your videos. It is so appreciate. And you do such beautiful work.
