  1. I just watched your wonderful tips video. Do you have a video for stamping with cling mount stamps that don’t have labels on them? I have only seen where placement is just a guesstimate of trial and error. Thank you for any advice you can give.

  2. Jennifer…thanks so much for sharing all of your tips/hack/tricks for the MISTI! I ordered the new rendition and can’t wait for it to arrive…I already own the original mini and memory versions and LOVE them! I have another stamping tool from another company and am not happy with it at all and have wanted the regular size for a LONG time…I am so excited and will donate to another crafty friend….YOU are BLESSING and this is SO helpful!!

  3. Great video. I have seen your videos where yo repeat stamp the sentiments. That is a life changing tip. Now I can hardly wait to try the sticky pad. Thanks so much for your helpful hints and hacks.

  4. Really appreciated the video. I see a mouse pad and sticky mat in my future. How do you clean your stamps. Is there a video?

  5. Jennifer,
I’ve had my Mistis for over a year and didn’t know any of the hacks! I definitely will combine the multiple stamping using the hash marks with my many cutters! Also, I’ve jumped over to SS to purchase a few of the tools, like the transparency, and the mouse pads. Anything to make my stamping easier! Many thanks to you!

  6. Hi Jennifer:
Thanks so much for the sticky mat hack. Would never have thought of that. Can’t wait to try it out.

  7. Love the new one! After watching the video last night, I had to place an order for two new ones! I can’t wait to get them!

  8. These hacks are wonderful. I just bought the black misti a couple months ago and have the original too. Now, I’d like to get the updated version. I have noticed the measurements didn’t match up but just worked around them. Now I understand the mousepad too. Thanks again.

  9. Thank you for making simple and obvious enter my stamping world – why I don’t know it before you show me is beyond me.

  10. Thank you Jennifer for the demonstration. I love using my MISTI and have several. Nver thought of the sticky mat technique. I clean my mat with a baby wipe and it renews the sticky.

  11. Great video and super tips n hacks! Any idea if the Hero Arts version with the larger numbers will eventually move to some of the newer design features like the overhanging lid, etched numbers and the magnet “home”?

  12. Hi Jennfer, thanks for all the hacks for the Misty. Regarding using the sticky mat, I have a Cricut electronic cutting machine and to keep the mat clean I just use a baby wipe. That helps to keep the mat sticky longer and remove any ink or fibers from the paper. Also, if it gets really dirty, once a month I wash it in warm soapy dishwashing detergent and let air dry. The whole mat is sticky once again. If you need a “boost” of sticky, I will spray with any repositionanble spray. Brand new sticky again! I wouldn’t advise using a cloth to wipe it off. The fibers will make it hard to keep clean and sticky. Great idea by the way! Well, there you go. I hope that helps with keeping your mat nice and sticky and clean:)

  13. Thank you for your informative and helpful hacks regarding the Misti. I have the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform so I am going to try the sticky mat on this. P.S. I really like your videos on stamping, die cuts, organizing your stamp room and everything else in between. Thank again.

  14. Love the MISTI, but I think I’ll have to invest in the new one. I wish it came in the 12 x 12 size too. Thanks so much for all the great tips too. I can’t wait to try out the ones new to me.

  15. Thanks for the great tips and overview of the improvements on the MISTI. It really helps to sort out whether upgrading is useful or not; must keep the currency exchange in mind. I’m thinking I’ll go for it once the border is open again and can pick it up in Minnesota.

  16. Hi Jennifer, where is the link to the previous post with more tips on using the Misti? Thanks so much for sharing all your great tips with us!

  17. WOW, I just may have to invest in the new one. I have the original, but I can say, after watching your video I’m really inclined to acquire the new one along with the sticky mat and mouse pad!!! TYFS

  18. Thanks, Jennifer. I don’t as yet have a misti and I appreciate knowing the difference between the old and the new!

  19. It has always been a frustration for me that even when the sticky mat is no longer sticky enough to hold the paper in place for electric die cutting, there is still quite a bit of tacky left on it. I have tried the cleaning and resticking hacks with varying degrees of success and have concluded that a new mat is cheaper than the adhesives needed to renew the stick and is much less time and work. But, the frugal crafter in me is still reluctant to throw discard the used up mats, positive that if I keep them long enough I will figure out something else to do with them. And from time to time I have. Using them in the Misti is a great suggestion and I am off to give it a try— with a used up mat.

  20. Great tips! Thank you! I have just inherited a Misti, something I would never have been able to afford otherwise so I am feeling very blessed indeed!

  21. In response to your questions about the Brother scanning mat, Jen Blausey is an expert on all things relating to these mats and to the Scan n Cut machines. She has a video on how to clean the mats and restick them using Zig glue. It would certainly be worthwhile to watch it as you’d probably never have to buy another mat.

  22. Thank you so much for your Misti tips and hacks. I always enjoy your videos. I’ve had a Misti for many years and enjoyed it. Now I also have a Stamparatus from Stampin Up. It does everything the Misti does and so much more. It’s also less expensive. I do like the Misti Creative Corners. They can be used on either device. Please consider doing a video comparing the two tools..

    1. I found the same thing – the Stamparatus is more versatile and less expensive. But I noticed that Stampin’ Up is not listed in her list of suppliers, so maybe she doesn’t know. Either way, I always learn so much from the videos!

  23. I recently purchased a Platinum 6 because I’ve heard you can cut 6 layers. However, I’m only able to successfully cut two layers. Am i missing something?

  24. Thank you for the info on the new MISTI and all your tips and hacks especially the “sticky mat” hack for the MISTI. I’m going to give it a try.

  25. I’m a cricut user and if you are using one of those types of mats that are like a plastic durable mat, you can wipe them with a baby wipe when the sticky starts going away. You leave it out to air dry ( it takes some time) but. then it gets sticky again. Most of the time, it’s dust and paper remnants stuck on there.

  26. I have a Brother SDX125. I constantly have to clean my mats and re-stick it.ni first clean the mat with a alcohol free baby wipe and let it dry. Sometimes this is all I have to do to make it sticky again. But, if my mat is really used and in bad shape, I again clean with a baby wipe or stick it in the sink and wash with dish soap. I also scrape off the ugly residue that builds up on the mat with a rubber scraper. Let it dry (I usually let it dry over night) and then spray “Pixie Spray” to re-stick. Works great!

  27. Thanks for all your posts. Hey, thought I’d mention a “hack” of my own that I picked up from watching you! I covered packaging cardboard with Press n Seal, sticky side out to keep my card from moving When I was ink blending. I had just seen you demonstrate with your new white mat. Works great. Wouldn’t that work in the Misti too?

  28. I just use soap and water and brush my fingers over the surface lightly to wash off my Cricut and Scan-N-Cut Mats when they get a build-up of paper bits. It doesn’t affect their stickiness. Thank you so much for the hacks!

  29. Great hacks! I use the sticky mats frequently for my cutting machine and will cut one down for my Misti. I have found inexpensive facial cleaning wipes at the Dollar Store for the best results for cleaning dirty sticky mats. They don’t contain extra chemicals or leave lanolin on the mats. You get 25 for a dollar and they wipe off stains as well as any paper residue. The stickiness returns easily. I have rejuvenated several mats that I would have thought were beyond use.

  30. Great video, as always, Jennifer! I always look forward to watching your instructional videos. Even if I only pick up one new idea, it is a wonderful thing!

  31. Wonderful video. I have the original MISTI and love it. Actually, I don’t do any stamping without using it. Love the hacks – some I knew, others were good to learn.

  32. Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for the notification of the new version of the Misti. I was able to order the day you posted about the presale and I received my first Misti along with the bag and a few other supplies. I love all your Misti tips and know it will help with stamping confidence. I’d been thinking about it for awhile and decided with the upgrades it was time to make the investment. Also wanted to thank you for all your tutorials and YouTube videos, I learn something new with each one.
Have a blessed and safe day!

  33. I love your videos. You keep things moving so they aren’t long, boring or dragged out – I LOVE THAT!!

  34. I always put the plastic overlay on my sticky mat when not in use. That keeps any dust, dog hair, etc. off of it.

  35. Could you please tell me if you could spray pixie adhesive and make your own sticky mat? Do you know if you could use press and seal wrap to hold your cardstock or stamps in place?
Thank you for fantastic techniques and inspiration. Blessings.
