This is another old favorite technique that I thought it would be fun to revisit. (You can see my first glitter stenciling technique HERE.) The results are shimmery and fun! Be sure to watch my video for the how-to… along with tips for keeping glitter from being a mess.

Here are the cards from my video along with the main products featured. For the full supply list, scroll down to the thumbnails at the end of this post. For all of my cards, I used Elizabeth Crafts Silk Microfine Glitter and Couture Creations Diecut ‘N Bond. Any fine glitter and double sided tape should give good results, too.

Gorgeous cards. I have a love/hate relationship with glitter — love the look but hate the mess. This technique might solve my “hate” issue. I’m going to look around my craft room to see if I have any glitter, and if I do I’m going to give it a try.

  26. jbatik2000 says:

What an amazing techniques that yields beautiful results. Great to use on cards all year long. Thanks for sharing.

  27. Barbara says:

This is absolutely gorgeous! I decided to try it with a die as one of your older videos shows and the results are fabulous. There was, however, a Swiffer holocaust and significant glitter bombing effects, perhaps because the static electricity was off the charts (I live in a very dry climate). I think I will try getting some Static Guard…

  28. Deb Lepak says:

Life is better with a little glitter! Thanks for taking it to the next level! 😉

  30. Teri S. says:

I think these cards are so sparkly & fun that anyone would be delighted to receive one. I seem to have a lot of static in my body so glitter usually ends up all over me no matter how careful I am. I have an English Cream Golden & in my craft room is a sign that says “Dog Hair Is My Glitter”. Totally appropriate! lol PPP has designed some wonderful new product. Thanks Jennifer.

Love this technique. Would have never come up with making my own stencil

  44. craftygal68 says:

I like what you did with the thinner strips. It really sets off a nice clean card. Elizabeth Craft has very nice glitter. It does make a smooth and flake free card. You mentioned using embossing power instead of glitter. Can you explain that in more detail? TY for your videos.

  45. Fuzzier1 says:

I absolutely love this technique. I am like a magpie and love sparkle but i dont like the mess of shedding glitter so this look a fab way to stop that shedding mess.
I have so many glitters I can use up using this technique so i will definitely be giving it a go. Now to find the diecut n bond here in the uk.

You can never have too much sparkle! Thanks for this reminder technique. I did it years ago with lace and glitter and I need to revisit it.

  49. Who knew you could do glitter that would stay on the card! I have so much glitter I stopped using because it was such a mess, and then Stickles and Nuvo products came along. I’m going to have to break it out of its vault, lol! Thank you Jennifer for another great tutorial!

  50. Lindarub says:
