This is another old favorite technique that I thought it would be fun to revisit. (You can see my first glitter stenciling technique HERE.) The results are shimmery and fun! Be sure to watch my video for the how-to… along with tips for keeping glitter from being a mess.

Here are the cards from my video along with the main products featured. For the full supply list, scroll down to the thumbnails at the end of this post. For all of my cards, I used Elizabeth Crafts Silk Microfine Glitter and Couture Creations Diecut ‘N Bond. Any fine glitter and double sided tape should give good results, too.

  1. Growing up I was never a glitter kind of gal but now that I’m over 60…I love it. These cards are just beautiful. I will most certainly be making one of the examples.

  2. I’m generally not a fan of glitter for the reasons you mentioned, but these look great! Very cool technique. The difference it made using the bone folder to burnish was remarkable! Thanks.

  3. Your cards are always stunning. And you are such a magnificent teacher. I always learn something new each time i watch you create. I think using up the glitter you have is a great idea, and the way you are using it truly limits the glitter mess often associated with using it! Have to love that and glitter for holiday cards is a must!

  4. I always learn so much from you, Jennifer. Love this glitter technique. Thanks, too, for the tip about double embossing. I didn’t think there was any way to double embossed stamped images but now I know different and look forward to giving it a try.

  5. You’re videos and instruction make it possible to follow and create beautiful things. Thank you for sharing both your talent for creating as well as your talent for teaching.

It would be fabulous to win!

Love the glitter ideas and tips for helping to make it less of a mess!

  6. Wonderful idea for using the stencils. Thanks for all your ‘glitter tips’ – I love the look but not all the stray glitter. Thanks for sharing !

  7. When I tried this some of the adhesive stuck to my stencil, so I did not get a crisp Image.
Is there anything I can do to avoid this?

    1. I’ve been trying this technique but when I remove the stencil, the paper tears. I’m using Neenah cardstock too! What am I doing wrong?

      1. I bought all the goodies to do this and it was a complete failure! I had the same problem with the Die Cut & Bond on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 paper…My paper shredded when I lifted up my stencil and I thought I wound never get all the sticky off!
