Dimensional Stamped Backgrounds + GIVEAWAY
Hello! Today I am sharing a fun way to take stamped backgrounds and add dimension. It is amazing how much this changes the look of a card!

Like many of you, I am always looking for ways to get new looks from products I have. Today’s technique can completely change the look of background stamps… making something fun and dimensional.
My first card features the new Simon Says Stamp Bohemian Lace Background Stamp. I white heat embossed this awesome background on white cardstock. I then taped together three dies – one from the Hero Arts 12 Point Star Infinity Die Set and two from the Hero Arts Infinity Circle Die Set. I used these to cut from the center of my embossed background… and four other pieces of white cardstock. I inked each of the background-stamped pieces with different colors of Distress Ink and then adhered them together on a card with the extra die cut pieces stacked behind the sun and ring. This extra dimension is amazing in real life!
For my sentiment, I stacked three white and one black “sunshine” die cuts from the from the Simon Say Stamp You Are My Sunshine Die… and added “is coming” from the Simon Says Stamp Four Seasons Sayings Stamp Set.
Here you can check out the dimension and how you can still see the continuous pattern of the Simon Says Stamp Bohemian Lace Background Stamp across the pieces.
For my second example, I used another great new background stamp – the Simon Says Stamp Deco Diamonds Background Stamp. After white heat embossing it on white cardstock, I cut along the square pattern, being sure to keep the pieces in order so I could put them back together like a puzzle. I then inked each square and glued them on a card… with craft foam under every other square for dimension. Definitely worth the time it took!
I also sprayed the background with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz for sparkle. The sentiment combines a stacked “summer” Simon Says Stamp Four Seasons die cut and and a white heat embossed “happy” Simon Says Stamp Four Seasons Sayings.
