Video: Mini Messages Card + 12 GIVEAWAYS!

Hi there. I’m always looking for ways to make my cards unique and different. Today’s video shares how to add many mini messages to the front of cards for unexpected fun. (And I have 12 giveaways!)

Personalized cards are the best. And when the card is extra special with many encouraging messages? It is even better!

I created two cards using mini messages on front. To create the messages, I used the Mini Trifold Notes Die from Waffle Flower. (See below for other ways to create these mini messages.) I die cut many from scraps of patterned paper and cardstock. I found that the patterned paper is a bit thinner and folds up nicely. Also, it often has white on the backside, which is perfect for writing a message. However, cardstock works, too!

For the card with patterned paper, I tied some twine around the message to close them… and then adhered them to the card base with strong double-sided tape. For the card using the cardstock messages, I applied coordinating Distress Ink with a blending tool to define the envelope’s edges. I used Memory Box heart die cuts to keep these little messages closed.

On both cards I stamped a greeting from the Waffle Flower Bowtiful Additions Stamp Set.

To tie everything together, I stamped the sentiment from the Waffle Flower Happy Mail Stamp Set on to matching envelopes.

Another fun way to use this die is to create a bunch of mini envelopes to put in a jar. I plan on doing this and for next to my kids’ beds.

Don’t have this die? No worries. There are other ways to get the same effect. You can purchase tiny envelopes to add to your card and slip your message inside or you can cut thin strips of cardstock and accordion fold them closed. Any way you choose to do it definitely will put a smile on the recipient’s face.

CHALLENGE UPDATE

Today is the last day of Week 1 of the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge! No worries… I will be back tomorrow with Week 2’s challenge. Stay tuned!

I think today’s card would be good for encouraging any friend or family member… especially a kid. I hope you will try it!

The last card I gave to someone was my nephew, it was also the card that was most fun to make and also the card I’m really proud of. It’s a magic slider card 🙂

I’m currently making a card inspired mini messages card. Only I don’t own the envelope die. So I’m drawing and cutting it myself, what a job haha 🙂 So I would love to own a die like this 🙂 thank you for your amazing videos and this giveaway!

Sorry for the long message haha :’D
