Hello! Today I have another way to use layering stamp sets… using white pigment ink. This post also is part of an Altenew Blog Hop…

In many past posts (including THIS one), I have expressed my head-over-heels love for stamp sets that offer layering to form incredible stamp images. They make me feel like a true artist! Today I thought I would show yet another way to use layer stamp sets, but on colored cardstocks. The stamp set I used here is awesome – the new Altenew Vintage Flowers.
The process is simple. First, stamp the bottom stamp layer with white pigment ink (I love Hero Arts Unicorn Ink) on kraft cardstock. Next, stamp the second layer with a color dye ink… just slightly offset. This gives a bit of dark color (in the areas where the color ink touches the kraft cardstock) and a lot of light color (where the color ink is on the white ink). You could add a third layer with a darker color, but I decided to skip that here as I felt it wasn’t needed.
If desired, you can add highlights with a simple white colored pencil, and/or brown, green and pink pencils.
I finished off the card with an Altenew “just a note” sentiment and also made a matching envelope…

The next person on the hop is Kristina Werner – my dear, wonderful, awesome friend.
