Video: Pigment Ink Multi-Inking (with Avery Elle)
As promised, I have a video showing the new Avery Elle pigment inks… and a fun and easy multi-inking technique that works well with pigment inks…
I am so loving that many companies are coming out with inks. The more the merrier, as many offer different ink types and colors. Put them all together and you have all the options you need to be a happy stamper! The new Avery Elle pigment inks are simply delicious. I will admit that I was a bit unsure at first. But once I tried them I was SOLD. I love them. (A pigment ink has to be really good for me to like it. My other favorites are Mama Elephant and Memento Luxe. The ink consistency of the AE is similar to the ME inks. You can see a video with more on pigment inks HERE and HERE.)
For this card, I took advantage of the fact that pigment inks are slower to dry. That way I could slowly ink the stamp in little areas here and there with an sponge dauber to get layered color. This Avery Elle ink works perfectly for it! Isn’t the Thanks a Bunch floral stamp set fantastic? I also love the greeting from the Needle Little Love set. (Check it out in the thumbnails below – it is fab.)
I also added a few touches of dimension and shine. First, I stamped and clear embossed the Impression Obsession Beauty Text stamp on the background. Next, I added a few spots of Glossy Accents here and there and sprinkled on tiny bits of Glitter Ritz glitter for a touch of bling. Very subtle. Very effective.
All the supplies I used on this card are linked at the bottom of this post. Here are all 15 pigment ink colors (and reinkers) Avery Elle has to offer: (Click to see more.)
I would love to hear if you are fan of pigment inks. My love for them is growing big time!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great one!
(By the way – as always – I was not asked to promote these inks. I did so because I really think they are excellent quality.)
