Video: Baby Card with Random Tips + Blog Hop

Hey there! Today I am part of a blog hop in honor of my awesomely sweet friend Linda who just had a baby girl! I also have a video for you that just shares some random tips and tricks as I create a few baby cards. Oh! And I got to use some of the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® products a bit early! Keep reading…

Here is my video…

So for Linda, I needed a baby girl card. However, I have three other friends who had boys, so I am making them all at once. I LOVE to do this…

The main 3″x4″ rounded pieces were cut quickly using the new We R Memory Keepers 3×4 Card Punch. What a great tool for scrapbooking, Project Life and cardmaking.

That glitter border is SO easy with Sparkle Tape. This stuff kicks the butt of washi… and is such a good price.

I used a new baby stamp set and die from Simon Says Stamp. They were going to be released tomorrow (9/1) in honor of STAMPtember®, but they said I could use it a day earlier to share with you! Isn’t is fabulous?! (You can find all the new fabulous products HERE tomorrow. Yay!)

I die cut “baby” three times and layered it for dimension. Oh, and I of course added shimmer with my Wink of Stella pen. The backgrounds show the new Hero Arts Tiny Stars and Small Scallops Backgrounds with White Staz-On on clear cards.

The patterned papers on the boy card are from the new Lawn Fawn Into the Woods 6×6 paper pad. I used random scraps on the girls card. This design is great for using up some little scraps.

That glittery border is Sparkle Tape from Darice. This is a great product because it adds the shine of glitter but without the mess. It doesn’t rub off at all. In fact, it is smooth and lovely. This is great for those I-am-not-a-fan-of-glitter folks.

Sorry the photos aren’t great. Clear cards are tough to capture.

Happy baby, my sweet Linda! Your little one is the luckiest girl in the world to have you as a momma. Meeting you is one of the greatest gifts this hobby has given me. I so hope I can hug you in person one day!

I am at the end of the hop, so be sure to stop back at the beginning at fabulous Mary Dawn Quirindongo’s blog, or stop by Linda’s blog to give her happy baby wishes.

See you soon.
