Paint Splatter + 25% off

I love the look of messy paint or mist splattered backgrounds… a technique you see lots of cardmakers doing these days. However, I have ruined one to many cards trying to get good results! So when I saw the new My Favorite Things Abstract Art stamp set, I was tickled. It has lots of paint splatter and brush images. So delightful…

This card was super simple to pull together. I just inked and stamped a few of the paint platter images from the Abstract Art set with Mint Julep, Green Hills and Fresh Peach Ink. They look like the perfect paint splatters… but nicely controlled. 🙂 I even added some Wink of Stella glitter marker for a touch of shine.

And that butterfly? Wow. I LOVE butterfly stamps, but it has been awhile since I have seen one I just must have. This one? So fresh and fun. And having matching dies makes it even better.

Oh – here is the Abstract Art stamp set so you can see all the images it has in it…

For the background, I used the new Art Expression Text stamp set. The quotes about art are prefect for any card.

  1. Love your ‘artsy’ card, Jennifer! Gorgeous color combo, too!
Thank you so much for the coupon code 🙂

  2. Jennifer,

I have the same issue with trying to create paint splatters so this definitely peaked my interest. I have one question for you though, how does this set compare to some of the new Hero Arts sets that you have been using lately? These look similar and I am wondering if they are really the same or not. Could you comment?

  3. I inquired about the coupon code not working and found out (and then I also see where you mention it as well) it excludes Brand Spankin’ New products.

For other products, when entering the code in the “Use Coupon Code” box, the code must be entered in all capitals and with no spaces.

    Thanks!

  4. Super card! I have the art stamp set and would never have thought of using the “splats” that way. They look so terrific on this card, with the butterfly. TFS your creativity. 🙂

  5. I love the card! I especially like how you split up the artist quote and turned it into background paper. Great idea! I am just about to start playing with mists, so it if doesn’t work out, I will definitely need to look into the spatter set. Thanks for another great piece of inspiration!

  6. Love the paint splatter stamps! They look like the mist effect I *try* to achieve with my pump bottles, but without the guesswork! Such a pretty card!

  7. I have that stamp set too, and I love…love…. Love it! Thanks for the great inspiration! I just love seeing what you create! Thanks for sharing!
