5-Minute Card + May SSS Card Kit

I saw my friend, Kristina, tweet about a 5-minute card challenge the other day. I will admit – I laughed… thinking that there was no way I could take on that challenge. Me? I’m slow.

Then I got in the mail my May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. When I saw this greeting stamp + die cut in there, I knew I could take on the challenge…

And I can’t believe I did it. I am usually so slow. But I did! Used theΒ May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit (so adorable, that kit is) and my favorite heart border punch to make the scattering of hearts. Must-haves….

In other news, I have been getting a lot of emails about when the baby is due. Not to much longer… a few short weeks. Although he/she seems to act anxious to make an appearance, Colin stayed in extra long, so I don’t know what to expect. This has been rough on my apparently-too-old body, but the baby is happy as a clam in there. Thank you for all the kind emails – means a lot. And, yes, Colin is excited beyond words. I counted today – he kissed my belly 48 times. And sang 6 songs to it, said “be nice to mommy” 3 times and promised to share his legos with him/her twice. He is already so very much in love…

See you soon.

(Oh, the winner of the MME buttons was Mendi. I emailed you.)

  3. Love that May kit but just got home from vacation and limited funds this month. Ouch.
Adorable picture of you and Colin. Love that cheveron dress too. How excited all of you must be counting down the days.
PS: If you want to make the L/D staff and postpartum staff happy, bring a basket of chocolate with you and offer it to all who shows in your room. You’ll have them melt in you hands (no puns intended). Works like a charm.
It’s amazing how a little chocolate helps nurses push through to the end of their shift.

  4. Loved the kit…. The picture of you and Colin priceless. Best to you and the baby. God’s Blessings to you both.

  7. Love the pic of you and Colin. Also, I’m sensing a trend with the Chevron dress and chevron cards of late! Does fashion drive the craft industry or vice versa??

  8. That is the most beautiful comment about Colin. It brought tears to my eyes. I hope you save that for the baby’s scrapbook. I’m so sorry you’ve had a rough time of it. Hopefully you’ll have a real easy delivery to make up for it. Blees you all.

  9. I love the photo of you and Colin (and your dress too – so “in” for scrapbooking – LOL). It sounds like Colin is going to be an amazing big brother! Enjoy your last few weeks and congratulations to all of you!

  10. You look radiant in that “chevron” dress! πŸ™‚ That is the sweetest photo ever — love how big brother Colin is anxiously awaiting his li’l sib’s debut. I can picture him reading books to him/her and telling him/her all about the world! I love that you are waiting on the gender… one of life’s best surprises, in my opinion! I bless you with the peace of Christ, strength in His Spirit, and joy unshakable as you persevere these last weeks before entering another season of blessing.

  11. Cute card and thank you so much for the update on your pregnancy. We all love you and wish you well with this new baby who will be coming to be a part of a wonderful family. That picture with Colin is adorable. Being the great mom you are I’m sure you are involving Colin in the whole process of this new child in your family. I am so excited for you, too. Sending lots of prayers and hugs to you.

  13. Hi Jennifer!!! I LOVE THIS CARD! What a rocking card maker you are! :> I’ve made a few cards in my life in 5 minutes do to necessity and it only worked for me because i knew exactly what I was going to make! :> Love this photo! It’s absolutely adorable! For some reason I didn’t think you would find out the gender. Or maybe you have but aren’t sharing? I sorta think a girl and than other times I think a boy! :> If I know you, you will want to give the nurses thank you cards. If you have a chance why not work on it now (unless you have already) and bring them with you! It would be so much easier to hand out when you leave and you won’t forget names this way!

  23. Jennifer your 5 minute card is beautiful and you did an amazing job though you say that it takes you longer to do cards. Lol. I want to say that your pic with Colin is so precious. I have to hang my head in shame and admit that I didn’t even know you were having a baby. :O( Sorry. I thought I saw a pic about a few months back that maybe have looked like that, but then again some folks put weight on and it goes to their middle, especially if you are going through menopause! I know I am there! I think I would much rather having a baby though. Lol. I don’t know if being 40 would like that idea. Lol. You look amazing to say the least. You must be so happy that your little man is so in love with the soon to be arriving baby. So precious he is and I always think about his love for Mario. Wondering if you ever did get those movies on Amazon like I mentioned to you previously. Seems like there must be something in the Hero Arts water seeming Lucy just had a baby not that long ago. Such great news. Wishing you all the best sweetie and thanks for sharing a little part of your personal world with us all. Love & Prayers

  24. Super sweet picture! It’s good to know that you’ll have a little helper when the new baby comes! Congratulations again and best of luck to you as you continue growing your sweet little one!
