Fast and Fresh Giveaway…

Good evening!  Thanks for all the well wishes coming from my fellow twitter folks.  Colin and I have been slammed big time by allergies – we are doing pretty rough.  But we will be fine.  I had a class tonight, which I made through thanks to some meds. 🙂

Wanted to do a post before heading to bed…

First, quickly, I wanted to announce that Kellie Cox is the winner of the My Favorite Things stamp giveaway.  Congrats!

Next, I have another giveaway!

Creating Keepsakes has a new special issue out that I LOVE.  It is called Fast and Fresh Scrapbooks and it goes on sale today.  Want a sneak peek?  Just click HERE.  Sweet, huh?  One thing I love about the book is it has a lot of great tips, along with yummy page ideas.

If you would like to get your copy, use code "FAST-BLOG" for 20% off your purchase at the Creating Keepakes Shop HERE between May 10-31.

In the meantime, I have a copy to give away!  Just leave a comment by Friday at 11:59pmEST telling me your favorite idea book or site and I will pick a winner of this new book…

Tim Holtz books are like eye candy to me. I have found sites that award challenge prizes by random selection, really encourages the scrapbooker to improve their creativity. Random is the key to keep the industry growing. Lets scrap is one of those sites.

I go to my black accordian style case (purchased at Aaron Brothers). I tear out or print out scrapbook pages I like and keep them in the case categorized by the number of photos on the pages. The idea for this came from the original Sketches book published by CK. In it the chapters were according to number of photos on the page. I have even had friends ask me to will them my black accordian idea case!

  50. Coco S. says:

My favorite idea book to date (and I have many) is “Designing with Words” and actually my favorite idea from the book was the page that you did (honest, I’m not a brown-noser!), the one that with the pockets (which had words from letters on the pockets’ edges, with love letters from your dad to your mom); that always struck me as wonderful, that you had access to the letters, partly, because I’m a mushy romantic, and it is great whenever anyone knows the story of their parents falling in love. I loved that you also did the pockets in a diagonal style–loved the whole thing. I think that I remembered it, because I love love letters (but how do you incorporate them to a page?) and your style was so original. So there you have it…and if I would be selected for this new book, I would be so grateful. Coco
