Video, Links, Prizes and more…

I hope you all are checking out the Hero blog this week – we have all the guys working it.  Today?  Colin shows his stamping talents.  Or should I say, his cleaning talents.

Yes, that is Colin.  He is a Montessori boy all the way. 😉

I also wanted to share some links:

  • I love how Dawn rocked the Hero Arts goodies HERE.  Yum.  Love that girl.
  • Ken made THIS recipe the other night.  What a tasty salsa!  LOVED it.  And it makes enough to share with neighbors.  Used tomatoes from our garden, and my brothers.  even if you aren’t interested in the recipe, you have to read the post.  So funny.
  • Some wonderful Kelly happiness HERE.  She makes me want to be young and carefree again.
  • THIS is reason number 1,202,340 why Jen is a favorite scrapbooker of mine.  Wow.
  • THIS page is perfect in every single way.  Rebecca Trump is a doll.
  • Shannon Tidwell rocks.  Her pages are always so happy.  And I love everything about THIS week – the stamp, the photo, the colors, the sentiment.
  • And if you aren’t aware of Lucy’s amazing blog, check it out HERE.  She defines class.
  • If you are interested in picking up your jaw from the floor, check out Nichol’s blog.  WOW.

Another important link: Cathy Zielske is raising money for charity: water.  This is a great organization.  Turns out the founder of it is friends with my brother-in-law and his family – they worked on the Mercy Ship together a few years back.  So cool.  Small world.  Great people.

And I have some sad news.  Yes, Kokuyo adhesive is going bye-bye.  It is discontinued and now very hard to find.  I will never admit to the number of refills I bought when I heard the news.  🙂  I am trying out a few new adhesives and will let you know if I find a good one.  Do you all have a favorite?

Next… I wanted to update on Cards for Kate.  The cards are starting to take over my house!  I LOVE IT.  Keep ’em coming.  And if you have sent some in and want to send in more, go for it!

And… OH MY – the prizes sure are rolling in.  And there are BIG ones.  It makes me so happy that so many people want to make Kate smile.  Wow.  So, every once in awhile, I am going to share details on some of the prizes.  However, please be sure to go check out the full list HERE

Today, I wanted to share these two great prizes that you could win…

  1. What a cool video, Colin is so much fun to watch and his little comments are so cute…..what a super cleaner he is

  2. What do you mean Kelly’s page makes you want to be young and carefree again?! LOL!! News flash !!YOU ARE YOUNG!! You crazy girl you. Great Colin video BTW. He’s a doll. My daughter watched with me and she was like ” he cleans his mommies stamps like I do yours”! too funny.

  3. Oh God, Colin is soo cute! Can I borrow him for a day or so, I have a pile of stamps that haven’t seen a stamp cleaner (or rag, or anything with the ability to clean) since … euh … forever?

  4. WOW! I think Colin is ready to teach a class.

Sorry to hear about Kokuyo–I had switched from Creative Memories tape runner so I guess I’ll go back to that.

  5. Loved all of the links. Your son is so cute. I miss my kids being that age. Enjoy them while you can. Thanks for sharing the ideas and the giveaway. Thanks again.

  6. Another magic technique is to stamp with Versamark. Then take chalk and rub/brush it over the image. The stamp part resists the chalk. You can use multiple colors of chalk on one stamp. My daughters think this technique is awesome!

  7. I just LOVE what you did with the heart winged butterfly…I am certainly going to have to try that! Thanks (as always) for the great idea!!!

  8. he is as clever as he is cute. My 3 y.o daughter watched the video with me and I think she has a crush lol, she made me play it twice.
A future Tim Holtz in the making?

  9. Jenn, I started using Kokuyo after reading about it in your blog. Love it, love it, love it. As soon as I heard the sad news 🙁 I bought the last two refils and last two full kits they had at my LSS. Jackie sold them to me at the price of the refils because she felt she couldn’t sell the full kit at full price in good conscience. I don’t mind Tombow, not a big fan of SA.

  10. Yeah, your son is definitely a Montessori trained child. No harm in that though. Thanks for taking a video with him in it, you will really appreciate it ten years from now.

I would recommend the ATC gun with the 3M tape, 1/4″. I have been using it for two years now. It sticks, you are committed when you lay it down. Not a bad concept! Definitely the best bang for your buck, once I got past the intimidation of using the big gun.

    Aloha, Kate

  11. Colin is such a cutie and he loves to clean too. What a terrific kid. I think he’s going to grow up to be an artist of some sort. Already so talented at such a young age.

  12. I use the Glue Glider Pro with the Perma Tac refills. It is my FAV! The refills that I use hold 40 ft, so it’s a medium/large gun… not TOO big! You’d like it.

  13. oooh I just saw this beauty creating AND cleaning!!! Sooo adorable!!
Thats why I dont know how to stamp, I focus too much on the cleaning too heheh
You are sooo cool, Colin. God Bless you!
    Hugs 🙂

  14. Jennifer,
Don’t be sad about Kokuyo. I spent the last 3 months researching to be able to import it again. I’m getting it in Japanese packaging but it is jut as awesome in Japanese. I received my first shipment nd i low already so I have another order placed. Just email me if you have questions.
