Still time to win…

… lots of GREAT prizes and such on the Hero Arts blog and the Quickutz blogs.  Huge prizes on each day on each blog!

Here is a card I did for the Quickutz blog.  I tell you – those folks are SO kind.  I love finding companies in this industry that have hearts of gold.  I reallllly like them.  Makes me feel good buying their product, ya know?  Anyway, here is my card.  Mixes some Silhouette goodness with some Hero Arts lovin'…

Do any of you have the Silhouette?  Or are considering it?  I really am loving it.  I was afraid for so long to use it… thinking it would be hard to learn.  But not at all.  It is simple and user friendly.  Put it this way – I figured it out without reading instructions.  Gotta love it.

The family just dropped me off at the marina to catch some wi-fi.  Just doing a quick post before joining them for more swimming and fishing.

More soon! 🙂

  1. Yes I have a Shilouette…not the new one..the older one. But I like it.. I’ve done some vinyl wall art for a hair salon recently…they just recently shot a commercial for TV and they shot the word art I made. “Beauty is an Attitude” you can see the video on my blog called, Our 15 sec. of fame….I was very excited about it.
I found you from Heidi Swapps …Still me blog.

  2. Very nice card Jennifer. I like being able to put a card together so quickly. TFS!!! ;0]

  3. i have ordered the silhouete and it should be here in 1 week! i’m honestly terrified that i’ll be disapointed, but i am excited as well!
i wanted this one because you don’t have to constantly invest in new cartridges.
    excited to try!

  4. So glad your relaxing and having a good time…and even take a few minutes to post?? LOVE the card you made for QK….I really think I NEED a Silhouette….

Hope you’re all having a grand time!

  6. Gorgeous, gorgeous card! Jaw dropping even! Would LOVE to get a Silhouette but I don’t think it’ll happen. Jennifer the enabler is in conflict with Dave Ramsey. 😉
Hope you’re having a blast on your vacation!

  7. I Love your card and wanted to tell you Thanks for sharing it with us. Hope you are having a blast on your vacation.

  8. I have a Silhouette and I KNOW I’m not using it to its full potential… I always feel like I can’t do it when my son is awake because he gets into everything in my craft room, and I can’t do it when he’s asleep because it’s a bit noisy! So… I haven’t used it much lately 🙁 It makes me sad, because it’s so awesome, I REALLY want to use it… Just never seem to get to! But every day that I see cool projects made with it, I’m itching more and more to get it out and just do it!

  9. I’ve considered getting a Silhouette, but haven’t taken the plunge yet as it’s quite a big investment. Love what you’re doing with it, though.
Glad you’re all having such a fun time.

  10. I love this card, and I love my silhouette too!! I have a mac, so I can’t use quickutz’s images, but I can make my own or use Kristina Werner’s kits from Two Peas via Illustrator to get it to work. It is seriously so much fun, even for us Mac users! 🙂

  11. Lovely card. You really put a lot of work in it. I hadn’t heard of the silhouette when I bought my cricut.

  12. A beautiful card! I have considered the Silhouette, but concerned I needed more computer skills than I actually have!

  13. I’ve been wanting a Silhouette, but haven’t been sure that I would get my money’s worth out of it, since I already have a QK squeeze, and a cuttlebug. But, after this week, I know what I am asking for for Christmas this year!!!! Just one more thing you have made me drool over and “need”!!! Hope you’re having a great vacation!

  14. i’ve been wanting to get the Silhouette. I’m just not sure if it’s a worthy investment. Now that I have seen how amazing it is, I’ll just need to scrimp and save to get me one…

  15. Your card is awesome! I’m loving the whole QK / HA combo on the blogs this week!! I do have a Silhouette, and I know I don’t use it as much as I could – it really is an awesome tool!

  16. I got my silhouette in January and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. I’m loving the HA / QK blogs this week, I’ve learned some new fun stuff to try!

  17. I just got my silhouette on Monday. It is the original model and am trying to figure out all the ins and outs. Especially the blades. I have a lot of computer graphic experience and hope to make some of my own designs to cut out… anyone with a really good user group and or blog connection would be appreciated.

  18. Wow, what a great card. I love how you placed the letters all over the card to form the word. I would love to own a Silhouette. In fact I am dying for one but I only have Mac computers in my home and they are not compatible. Please, please QuicKutz do something for us Mac users. 🙂
    xoxo, Christine

  19. I just ordered my Silhouette! I have been researching and debating which die cutting maching to get for awile, and almost went with the sizzix big shot, but was really put off with buying and storing all the dies. Then I really started considering the QuicKutz revolution, but the more research I did, the more I realized the Silhouette was the way to go. I can’t wait to start playing with it!! thank you so much for the brilliant inspiration! I found your blog via Ali Edwards Technique Tuesdays, and I am so thrilled I did!!

  20. LOVE your card! Watched your video last week on Ali’s blog. SO kewl. I’ve been looking at cutting machines and came across the Quickutz Silhouette. It’s just what I’m looking for. I have to make myself a promise to use it. I make cards for CFH (just started!) and I know it would be put to good use. Enjoy your vacation!
