Cards for Heroes Update

Hello!

I haven't mentioned this in awhile and have received a lot of questions about it.

YES – you can still send in cards for the Cards for Heroes Card DriveThis drive is focused on collecting cards to send to the troops overseas… for them to send home to their families for the holidays.  The deadline is October 15th, but we will take them late.  For information, click HERE.

I can't even begin to guess how many we have received so far.  An unbelievable amount.  I wish I could thank each and every one of you!

I do need to thank Carol at Stampers Corner in CA.  She sent HUNDREDS of cards from her store.  Can you imagine the expression on my face when I got 2 giant boxes from her stuffed full of cards??!! I smiled at first, and then cried.  Amazing.  Thank you, Carol.  You are an angel with a huge heart.  (Please – if anyone out there needs stamps, punches or anything, give her a ring.  She is wonderful and will take good care of you!  Let's pay it forward.  Click HERE to find out how to reach her.)

Thanks again for helping us with this drive.  You are all wonderful.

Moving on…

I have a winner of the adhesive from the WCMD giveaway!  Wendy in MD is the lucky one… I will email you. 🙂

Be sure to check out the Hero Arts Blog today – Leslie has a great giveaway!

Next…

I had a couple requests to share this project here – it was in the September CK issue.  Those are Maya Road's sheer tags cut in half.

I often wondered – how did I ever create anything before Bo Bunny Dotted Papers? 😉

Off to watch some mindless tv. Night!

  3. Love this layout! Great idea to cut the MR sheers in half, this adds a nice feature to the layout. Great pictures of the little one too!

  4. I love this layout too. 🙂 I remember reading all the great things you wrote and how you cut those journalling circles in half. You’re full of great ideas. I don’t know how you do it

  5. I loved this layout! I, too, made a note of your ideas on that one 🙂 So glad to hear the cards for heroes is going so well…it’s nice to brighten someone’s day, especially someone who really needs it.

I remember seeing this layout in CK. I just loved it then and now. The blue and black is so pretty together along with the other details too. I too just love the dot paper too. I am eyeing “papertreyink” dot stamps you used last week.

I love your video on Hero Arts! Very cool idea! Thanks for sharing:>

I am going to look and see what I need from Carol.

    Take Care

  7. Mailed a pack of cards out to ya-went through my stash and picked out some I thought the troops might like. Thanks for doing this.

  8. I am just saying hi. I see your column in CK all the time and like most of what you do, but since I’m not a very “crafty” person I usually don’t pay too much attention. But now I have looked at your scrapbook pages and WOW!!! Your work is fabulous.
    That’s all.
