  3. grammasuzi says:

When I first started, I found embossing powder to be really messy, but I did get better with practice. Now I love it and use it on most cards, I think. That butterfly is a new-to-me technique. Way cool!

  4. Cyndi Morris says:

I love heat embossing! It’s like magic seeing that powder melt. I love all your gorgeous cards and made copious notes so I can try all these techniques, Your butterfly stamp pressed on layers of heated embossing powder brought back memories. Many years ago there was a craft show on HGTV hosted by a lady named Carol Duvall and she had a guest on that demonstrated this. I did try it and as I recall I loved the result, but I haven’t thought of doing it since — can’t wait to give it another go!

  5. Cat says:

Always, you share such creativity! Thank you!

  6. Roxanne Tellini says:

Great lessons as always Jennifer. My favorite of this group is the sweet garden cherry blossom frame birthday mail card. That embossing powder on the navy cardstock is really pretty. I also like that you changed the die cut itself to make a new look.

  7. Donna says:

Both videos were totally awesome & so helpful. I love your videos & Simon Says Stamp’s products.

  8. MARCJ HAGAN says:

I HAVE A QUESTION, HOW DO YOU SEND ALL YOUR CARDS? THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL WITH ALL THOSE EMBELLISHMENTS AND SUCH. I WOULD HATE FOR THE MAIL MACHINES TO CRUSH EVERYTHING. ANY ADVISE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

P.S. I LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS! THEY ARE SO INFORMATIVE!!

It is so fun to see what you did with those backgrounds from the last video! I love all the tips you so willingly share with us. I had forgotten about that one where you set the butterfly stamp on top of the hot embossing – I did that years ago, but it’s nice to have techniques revisited to refresh our memories!

    Your cards are amazing!!!!

  21. Debbie F says:

Always good to go back to basics! I’ve tried adding multiple layers of embossing powders on something — love that look. I’ve also tried adding many layers of embossing powders on a heart die and then adding ink to mix into the melted powder. Remember that one? I learned it from you. Gives a marble look. Very cool! I intend to try using a rubber stamp to make an impression. That looks really cool! Oh, and my favorite is to use clear embossing powder over black ink. Thanks for the reminders and some new ideas too!!

Great tips for embossing. I love the idea of making a glittery card stock without the glitter coming off. I want to try your technique of building up layers and then adding a stamp into it. That is a totally new concept for me but it looks so much like the envelope sealing waxes. Beautiful!

  30. Peggy Pride says:

I have tried to do the multiple layers of embossing power on die cut sentiments. I have had some luck in it does look good but usually I am in too much of a rush to get the card finished.
