After spending so much time on my cards, I want to be sure they last when going through the mail. Therefore, I like to use the strongest adhesive possible. My new favorite? Tim Holtz Distress Collage Adhesive. It dries quick, is strong, inexpensive, and clear-and-matte-drying. I keep mine in a ultra-fine tip bottle, such as the Darice Ultrafine Tip Bottle, Quilled Creations Precision Tip Bottle, or Couture Creations Ultra Fine Tip Bottles.

To demonstrate the Tim Holtz Distress Collage Adhesive, I created several cards. The first uses the Pretty Pink Posh Sparkle Doy Pattern 1 Stamp Set and Lucy’s Cards Rainbow Jewels to create a colorful rainbow. The Pretty Pink Posh Sparkle Dot Pattern 1 Stamp Set is excellent for creating the dot pattern to follow! And a tiny dot of Tim Holtz Distress Collage Adhesive holds the gems in place.

I arranged my rainbow on an Avery Elle Double Pierced Rectangle die cut and added two Lawn Fawn Simple Puffy Clouds and a Pretty Pink Posh Everyday Greetings sentiment.

For my next card, I stamped two Pretty Pink Posh Sparkle Dot Pattern rainbows to form an oval. I added Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti and Silver Confetti. These look like mini mirrors!

The sentiment is from the Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Greetings Stamp Set and I added a glitter Pink and Main Large Bow die cut bow.

Also using the Pretty Pink Posh Sparkle Dot Pattern Stamp Set, I created a heart filled with Kat Scrappiness Glitter Sequins and a few Studio Katia Silver Foil Jewels on top. The sentiment is from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Wonderland Stamp Set.

Look at that sparkle!

This next card was such fun to make! I used the petal from the Pretty Pink Posh Sparkle Dot Pattern Stamp Set to create a jewel flower. Using the Jewel Picker makes it quick to pick up the gems and put them in place. Again, the sentiment is from the Pretty Pink Posh Everyday Greetings Stamp Set.

If you want to save time, you could instead use a drop of Nuvo Drops in each spot, but I love the sparkle of these gems.

My last card shows how you can use Tim Holtz Distress Collage Adhesive to stack die cuts and to squeeze behind layered elements. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Wild Rose Stamp Set, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, and Tonic Aqua Shimmer Pens to create the flower and added a cluster of Studio Katia Onyx Black Jewels to the center.

The stacked Pretty Pink Posh Thank You Script die cuts are also covered with Tonic Aqua Shimmer Pens for shine.

Hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving, friends!

  1. Jennifer, I love watching the work you do. You have so much wisdom to share and I am so appreciative. My husband says I should be a pro card maker after watching so many videos. Hahaha, but I am still learning.

  5. Please help an old lady. You list everything in supplies except the funnel bowl you use for sequins. That is ingenious and want/ need that. I have looked all over to no avail. Plead help.

  8. I’m going to try and find this adhesive here in aust coz the multi medium Matt is so expensive here. My last two bottles were from simon says stamps along with the other $250 + of much NEEDED craft supplies 🙂

  9. You are so very creative! I LOVE these cards! They all so pretty! I look forward to making some. Thanks for all your inspiration and great ideas!

  10. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Your cards are gorgeous! I especially love the wreath card. The sparkle dot pattern stamp looks like a really neat set.

  11. This stamp set is sooo cool! Wow I am amazed. You did a fabulous job. Thank for including the stacked Die cuts, I am horrible with those. 😀

  12. This is so helpful! I find most of what you do helpful but this will change my card making life. There is nothing more disappointing than when a loved one calls after I sent a card telling me “things” feel off the card. Thanks again!

  13. Jennifer, please you are driving an old lady to drink and it is not a pretty site. Please tell me where you picked up that cute dish you had the sequined in with a funnel lip. I need some. I have sent a text to all companies to nip avail. I even tried Amazon. Please help so I can sleep at night. You are truly a blessing to all crafters everywhere. I hope you know how much you are loved and admitted for you big heart. Thank you.

  14. Hi Jennifer,
You mentioned using something to cover your image in mailing. I don’t see where you linked the information on that. I’ve been known to miss things, however. I am a little behind in my video watching. I became a first-time grandma on the 20th!! Twins, no less!! Needless to say, I am pretty excited!!

  15. Thanks for the heads up on the collage medium Will give it a try for sure. I use the fine tips but put them on the bottle the products come in – glassy accents, matte medium. That way I don’t make a mess transferring. Seems to be working good to do that.

  16. STUNNING cards!
I NEED to try this collage medium! I have tried the multi medium matte with a fine tip but not been able to squeeze hard enough to get it out, so this will fill a sad space in my stash, as although I love my Tombow Mono Multi, it can lead to a bit too many sticky situations at our house 🙂

  17. Which stamp set was the Hello, FRIEND sentiment in. The ones you have posted don’t include that sentiment.
    Thanks!
