Worth Checking Out

Hi! Just popping in with some links to fun things I have seen on the internet lately…

(1.) Photo Organization – Sigh. Photos. I get so overwhelmed! I really liked this video by the wonderful Amy Tan. This is fantastic and is inspiring me big time. And her little Jack is a doll. We plan for him to marry Lila. 😉

(2.) Coloring Video – Wow. Marika is one of my favorite cardmakers. Her coloring in this video is remarkable!

(3.) Copic Sale – Simon Says Stamp is having 20% off their Copic Markers. This is a good time to stock up on refills, too. Shop HERE and use code COPICB2S before 8/21/15.

(4.) We R Memory Keepers Heatwave Tool – I am getting a lot of emails about this foiling new product. I got it and have been spending time playing with it and seeing what it is capable of. I will do a video as soon as I am done exploring – I want to be able to give as much info as possible. First reaction? I like it!

(5.) Printables – I have another inspiring link from Amy Tan. If you follow her on Instagram, you know she does some lovely watercolor quotes. You can now download and print them! Great stuff. Just saw on the top of her site that you can use code BLOGFRIEND for 20%.

(6.) Happy Card – I just thought this happy card was worth sharing. Heather is a good friend of mine and works with me on projects… including writing, keeping up with questions, organizing, planning and more. She is very creative and helping me with some fun things that will be happening here soon. I am thankful to work with her here in my little craft room a few times a week.

As always, I picked these things myself and was not sponsored. Just sharing what I like. 🙂

Oh – and I linked to a few videos above. While watching them, please give them a thumbs up. It really means a lot to the designers who put a *ton* of time into them!

Have YOU seen anything fun out there in the crafty world? Share below! See you soon.

I am by no means as talented as you are but am quite pleased with both of these. I don’t usually share my creations but these just make my heart happy and my grandchildren love them too! TFS!

  2. I love you when you doing this, Jennifer! Sharing is caring! Thanks so much for sharing the inspirational links. My favorite is Marika’s coloring video. She is truly amazing!!!!!

  3. Thank you for sharing. I will look into each of these.

I don’t know if you’ve mentioned this yet, but I am loving adult coloring books. My favorite is “The Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Coloring Book” by Johanna Bamford. http://www.amazon.com/Secret-Garden-Inky-Treasure-Coloring/dp/1780671067/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1440013634&sr=1-1&keywords=the+secret+gardens

It’s only just over $10, and has so many pages with drawings to color on both sides of the pages. The pages are large 10″ square size. There is such incredible detail in the drawings, that this coloring book will literally last me years. It’s so relaxing to just disengage from life and get into coloring. I find myself breathing deep and getting sleepy. It’s wonderful to do to wind down before bed.

  4. jennifer… thanks for referral 2 links above… i love to hear about crafters i never met and its anothr way of finding them… if we made a list or linked to all the crafters we knew of..everyone on your channel at least, how many crafters would be on one of your lists 2.. there are plenty crafters we have not heard of yet…!! and i know what you mean about taking time to “like”…thanks:)
crafty things?today, i am drawing with a plain old eversharp…. so i am drawing a bunch of little animals so i can put a bunch in a hot air balloon. Luv drawing and if i dont have the animal stamp for sure its fun to see how close i can make it look how i want it to….for fun:) ….and brush lettering…and dreaming up my own sentiments.. enjoy your day..

  5. I am just getting started with Copic markers, but would love to take advantage of the 20% off. Can any more experienced card makers recommend a few key colors (or a set of colors) that you find serves you well? Preferably not the $575 set. 🙂

  6. So many great links! Thanks for sharing. I loved Marika’s beautiful coloring and Amy Tan’s idea for photos. 🙂

  7. I’ve been watching Marika for some time now.Her coloring is amazing.Awesome copic sale.I just received an embossing powder order from them today with a couple other little goodies.SSS) there shipping is awesome fast.

  8. Enjoy your links, especially Amy’s tips and Marika’s great video! Had to subscribe to both of their you tube channels TFS!

  9. Over the summer I found a YouTube channel called Crafty Caroline. She is a UK Stampin Up demonstrator so all the products she uses are Stampin’ Up. What I like about her is that she makes gift boxes to go with her cards (making a gift set) but doesn’t rely on an envelope or gift box punchboard (which is totally fine unless, like me, you don’t have those and don’t want to buy them 🙂 ). Another crafty channel is Sea Lemon by Jennifer Bates. I especially love her DIY notebooks.

Marika Rahtu’s coloring is awesome. I am also inspired by Lisa Adessa’s and Donna Mikasa’s cards. Oh, and I love Kathy Racoosin’s color challenge. She came up with such a terrific idea. Lastly, there is a young graphic design student named Michelle Yuen on YouTube who creates great cards too.

  10. Thank you for sharing the links. I will be looking forward to your ideas on the heat tool #5. I bought a similar one that I love, but I know you will come up with ideas I would not think of – you always do♥

  11. Still watching some of the links – her coloring is phenomenal! I love that she “flicks” the color on her leaves just like we do on leaves and I hope to try that, too ♥
