No Stamping! And a Little Enabling…

Hello!

I am a stamper. First and foremost. But sometimes it is fun to create without a stamp. (Yes, I said it!)

This card uses no stamps – just some of my favorite embellishments…

Here are the goodies I used:

Speaking of the Stardust Glitter Ritz glitter. A few people asked how it compared to regular silver glitter. The color difference is subtle, but it has a warn, vintage tint to it. That’s Stardust on the left and another normal silver glitter on the right…

Yep, sometimes creating without stamps is fun. Have you tried it? Would love to hear what your favorite non-stamping goodies are.

See you soon. (And likely with stamps in hand!)

Oh la la! You know how much I love dies and Simon Says Stamp just released a bunch of new good exclusive ones HERE!

So in love with THIS one that makes little stars and hearts to scatter on a card.

And THIS makes me giddy…

Lots of good stuff you can do with THIS one…

Oh, and I guess I couldn’t get away without talking about a stamp set, huh? Check out THIS new one…

Again, be sure to check all the new ones out HERE. Happy shopping!

  1. But I bet you pulled out a stamp set right after this because you were shaking from withdrawal!! Love the reverse rainbow with the buttons. I’m not sure I’ve “successfully” played with glitter in a l o n g time but I have lots of it (because, after all, I AM a true crafter!). I love patterned paper. Wished I used it more! And chip board pieces…and label stickers. Wish I used those more too.

  2. ah nice enabling – love that stamp set! The card is adorable! Favorite non-stamp item – not sure I have ever made a card without stamping! This would make a good challenge for me and I have quite a collection of buttons! Thank you!

  3. Love your button card. The glitter you used is very pretty…I like it better than the reg. silver glitter. I have not done many cards with out stamping..must try.

  4. Why do you do this to me?!?! (a little dramatic flair to start your day)

Now I must go buy dies. And Stamps. From SSS.

Oh, and I saw you and Kristina are doing another class! Can’t wait!

  5. Thanks for the side by side pictures of the glitter. I knew it looked different from regular silver, love that warm glow! Off to check out those new dies at SSS.

  6. I love your card! It is fun to be creative and not use stamps sometimes. Hope you are having a great day!

  7. A wonderful card here jenniffer, and I agree sometimes it´s fun just to make a card, with what´s on hand that moment, and you made a great one here. Just great work hun.

  8. There’s a lot of enabling going on in this post! It is fun to make cards without stamps sometimes. I like to use alpha stickers or chipboard accents when not stamping. LOVE that new stamp set from Simon…one can never have too many sentiment stamps! 🙂

  9. I think I would be puzzled if asked to make a card WITHOUT stamping at all. Not only I love stamping, but it’s difficult to imagine how is it possible. At least sentiment needs it. You’ve showed this is possible! The card is gorgeous! Love your glitter letter!
    Thank you!!
P.S.This is kinda challenge and I’m thinking of accepting it 🙂 Wanna create no-stamps card as well.

  10. Love what you did with the wood veneer letters…it gives me ideas for those cute camera and transportation wood veneers I just purchased. The subtle texture is great.

  11. Beautiful card! Those buttons look so yummy I could just eat them!
A card without stamping is not too strange for me, because I only got to know about stamps very recently and before that I was making cards with no stamping at all. Although, I must say, stamping makes the process a lot easier and faster sometimes.

  12. Shut up! I’ve been waiting for a handwritten looking bunch of sentiments for years! This has every one I’ll ever need. Sooooo buying those. A kwerner lover’s dream.

  13. Cute card Jen!!!! Can’t believe you didn’t even put a stamped sentiment on a card. Not at all like you for sure. Can not believe Lila is already 3 months. She is just adorable. Also wanted to say what a great job you all did today on the podcast. It felt a little strange at first to just listen to all of you and not see you, but it was really well done. So glad you were there.

  14. Listened to the Paper Clipping Roundtable discussion and loved it. You and Tim have taught me so much with your wonderful videos. I get so much inspiration from listening to both of you. (Loved the Chemistry 101 class earlier this year too) THANKS!

  15. Oh wow! I’m lovin’ all those new dies you showed!!! Besides stamps, dies are my weakness. Die cuts are at the top of my list if I make a card without stamps. Then add whatever embellishments go with the die cuts and it’s done. There are so many cool dies out there (wish I had more of them! LOL!) that you can make just about any style card without stamping. I love CAS cards with geometric designs and also cards like yours with words spelled out using alphabet dies. And dry embossing is another favorite technique of mine. It can be so elegant and even take the place of stamping. But, like you, I’ll NEVER give up my stamps! I’d hate to reveal how many stamps I’ve bought this month alone… have been on a Halloween/Thanksgiving spree! Must stay home and stamp for a while now.

  16. Such a great card. I love it when I can put a quick, cute card together without having to ink, stamp and emboss sometimes. I use those 3D sticker and letters to come up with quick cards on the spot.

  17. Great card — I love the buttons, and you always have a great way in using them! I bounce around with products I use, but brads & vellum are among my favorite “go-to” products aside from stamping.

Also…Fabulous Paperclipping roundtable segment. So glad to “hear” you at the roundtable!

  18. I am LOVING all of the wooden pieces that are out there!! I like to stamp on them too, but sometimes it is fun just to create with all of my other craft goodies!! THANKS for sharing and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)

  19. Waiting on previous Simon Says Stamp shipments after taking a couple of your card classes, Jennifer! I love your ideas and your finished masterpieces. Keeps me inspired! thank you!!
