A Cut Above Die Cutting Class + Giveaways

Wanted to give you a heads up on a new jam-packed, 3-week, creative die cutting class I have coming up called A Cut Above. This is the newest class from our Online Card Classes and it starts on Monday the 16th. I am excited to have teamed up with Kristina Werner and Nichol Magouirk for this fun class…

Here’s the info…

Are you a die cutting expert or do you consider yourself a novice? Do you prefer a traditional die cutting machine or would you rather use your computer to design what you’ll be cutting? Or maybe you’re just not sure! Never fear, we’re here to help! Join Kristina Werner, Jennifer McGuire, guest instructor Nichol Magouirk and many great guests for A Cut Above, as they show you the ins and outs and everything you need to know about the various die cutting systems.

You’ll leave class with the knowledge of numerous tips and creative techniques for using the Big Shot, Vagabond, Cuttlebug and Grand Calibur with various types of dies and embossing folders, as well as the Silhouette Cameo. The first half of class will be devoted to traditional die cutting methods and the second half will be focused on the increasingly popular Silhouette (Cameo, SD, and original Silhouette). Simple to complex, beginning to advanced – we’ll cover it all!

This three-week interactive class includes free downloads (including from guest artist Ali Edwards), BIG prizes, galleries, a Q&A forum and lifetime access! Class runs April 16 to May 7, but content will be available for a lifetime.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO & TO REGISTER!

If you’re interested in only the traditional die cutting portion of the class, or maybe in just the Silhouette portion, we will be offering A Cut Above in two separate parts on May 15. You can find more info on that HERE.

Giveaway time! I have three spots to give away in the A Cut Above class. Leave a comment here telling me your favorite die cutting machine or if you are dreaming of having one. I will pick 3three winners on Wednesday 11:59pmEST. If you have already registered for the class and win, we will give you a refund. 🙂

Hope you have a blessed and happy Easter, filled with the peace of knowing He has Risen. Take care!

I’ve just bought a Cuttlebug, so this class would be great for me to learn how to use it properly! x

  2. I bought a Bigshot a few months ago to replace my worn out Cuttlebug. I love the Bigshot more than I thought I would or could. I’ve been wanting to buy an electronic cutter for a while now but I’m not sure which is the right one for me. Still looking.

  3. Dorothy says:

Wow – this sounds like a very useful class! I used to have a Wizard but switched to a Big Shot a couple years ago. I love the BS!! I’m not sure about the Silhouette. It seems like a huge investment and my productivity level doesn’t seem to justify it yet… but once I see what it can do… who knows??!

I have a Cuttlebug, which I love, but I “Dream” of the day I will own a “VAGABOND” !!! I can only imagine the fun I would have with it…I have heard alot about the Cameo, but I am a little, Okay Alot intimated by this die cutter, just because of the computer part, I am not tech savey at all and this really has me holding back from even looking at it as a possibility…Thanks for a chance to win a spot in your class, sounds like so much fun.

  31. Liz Lumsden says:

I am a die cutting machine hoarder. Lol! My favorite of my machines is the E2…this class would be perfect for me, I will sign up but hope I win a spot to get a refund.

  32. Scrapmate says:

I held out for many years and then finally succumbed to a Cuttlebug during a trip to The States. I love it to bits – it has opened up a whole world of possibilities and the dies just keep getting more and more sophisticated. I still love the creativity that the basic shapes give me but the detail in the newer dies would be nigh on impossible to cut out by hand and the stamp and die sets have extended the diecutting boundaries.

  33. Deb says:

I am a beginniner – just a plain old Cuttlebug but would LOVE to learn what else is out there & make the most of my little ‘bug!

  34. Karen Loke says:

I have a Cricut Anniversary Expression 2 & an Imagine; plus I use my Cuttlebug for everything! I am curious about the unlimited possibilities of the Cameo – this class sounds like the perfect place to learn more.

  44. SuZeQ says:

Well, my favorite, of course is The Vagabond. But I have a Cuttlebug. My husband has offered to buy me a “V” – at this point, I refused his over-the-top generous offer. I tell him when “the …bug die then you can buy me a “V” … how’s that for life in the fast lane? Some day …

  50. Elaine Allen says:

    Hi Jennifer –

Hope you had a wonderful Easter and that you are doing well. I know how uncomfortable the last couple of months can be.
I’ve enjoyed all the Online classes, they are a fabulous way to learn. This one promises to be as exciting. I own two die cutting machines. The first machine I ever bought was the original Spellbinder Wizard. Great machine, but I started developing arthritis in my hands and thus had problems with getting things thru the metal rollers. So about 2 years ago I bought the Cuttlebug, a really sweet little machine, compact and efficient. I have dreamed about getting the Vagabond, but its kind of hard to justify a third machine, sigh. I don’t own an electric cutting machine, mainly because I really don’t know much about them. I’d like one that would work with my PC and allow me to use fonts and images from the PC. My sister owns a cricut and I know those little cartridges add up in price. Also, I love to created things with chipboard, shrink plastic, etc. and I know that the electronic machines don’t cut those items.
