Day 1 of Trio Challenge
I am so tickled to start this next same stamp challenge.
Why? This one was planned in person. And I love that.
A few weeks ago, Lucy Abrams and I stayed at Kathy Racoosin's home. We had such a delightfully wonderful time. Perfection. While there, we decided to do a same-stamp challenge between the three of us. Such. Fun. Kathy will focus on her trade-mark coloring techniques. Lucy will rock her fabulous use of patterned paper. Me? I will get inky. And we will all use the same stamp. Yum.
So, this is Day 1 of our Trio Challenge. Kathy, Lucy and I will all be using THIS stamp from Penny Black. (Yes, I am aware it isn't Hero Arts. But we play well with others. 🙂
I was a bit stumped on how to tackle the hedgehog, so I just decided to do away with him completely 🙂 I stamped the image 3 times and just cut out the leaves and berries. After inking them with Distress Inks and my Ink Blending Tool, I spritzed them with some perfect pearl water. I finished it off with a Tim Holtz die cut, some Hero Arts stamps/lace and Basic Grey paper…
So, see that rockin' lace? I so love it. It is self-adhesive, easy to use and easy to ink. Lovely stuff – not at all like a cheap-looking-lace. It comes in cream HERE and white HERE…
I used my favorite flouish stamp to spice up the text Basic Grey red paper. This stamp works with everything…
Now, be sure to head over to Kathy's blog to see her master coloring and Lucy's blog to see her amazing use of patterned paper with the same stamp.
See you soon.
