Random Friday :)

Hey, there.

Thought I would share a card set that I made for one of Colin's teachers a few months ago.  I may have shared this one before – sorry – but I wanted to show off the use of Sizzix embossing folders.

If you are addicted to embossing on cards and such, you must try Sizzix folders out.  Get this: they cover the whole front of a card.  Genius, huh?  Yes, no trimming needed.  And they work in the Cuttlebug just like the other embossing folders.  I will share my favorites below.

People often ask how I give the cards to people.  I put matching envelopes that are stamped, along wth postage, in a clear box with some fancy ribbon.  Easy.  You can get the clear boxes at the wonderful Papertrey Ink HERE.

Next…

About the Silhouette – Someone (very nicely) emailed me asking if I really liked my Silhouette that much or if it was a paid endorsement.  Nothing on my blog is paid – I don't do sponsorships, etc.  If you see me promoting a product, you can be sure it is because I love it.  And the Silhouette is on the top of my list of loves. 🙂

One last thing…

Calling all cardmakers! Basic Grey has new 6×6 paper pads in essential sets.  PERFECT for cards.  Let's just say – I bought a *few.*  :)  This is something I will use for a long time.  Check them out HERE.

OK… time to try and catch up and buy a flight for a weekend away with a dear friend.  Night!

  7. I was working on another Hero Arts flower stamp for a couple of different cards, but you changed my mind, when I saw these cute cards. I embossed a card front and used one of them and some leaves I’d stamped a couple weeks ago and I went to bed so pleased with my accompolishment last night. 🙂 Thank you so much for the idea, and thanks for showing that clear box for gifting cards to someone. I hadn’t noticed it before and had just sent an order to PTI this week, so they’ll go on my wish list. Thank you again for introducing me to little Kate. She is so often on my heart and I pray so hard for her and her family. I haven’t sent you any cards this time, but I’ve sent an offering to their church fund for Kate. Blessings

  17. I really like these card sets you show. There is enough difference in the cards to make them interesting – but enough similarity to make them easier to create! And the price point on those Sizzix embossing folders makes them worth a look — I guess I was just thinking that their “look” wasn’t very sophisticated!

  18. Your cards are always so beautiful, what a great set to give as a gift, I bet the teacher loved them. Can’t wait to get my sizzix embossing folders that I won here on your blog, they look like so much fun.

  21. Oh, these are beautiful! I got a Cuttlebug about 2 months ago, but have never used a Sizzix in it before – didn’t really know they could be used in conjunction with the Cuttlebug. But, these embossed circles are excellent! This would be perfect on announcement cards for my new 2 week old 🙂 Thanks for the ideas!!
