How-To Video: Fish Card

Hi!  Have a video for you…

This card I made using the scraps from the butterfly card HERE.  No fabulous technique or idea here – just some fun twists on using punches on a fun card for no good reason. :)

Supplies:

Hero Arts stamps (background, fish and greeting), notecards and black gem

Black Memories Ink

Ranger Pool Ink

Paper Shaper punches (flouish punch will be available in July!)

Stickles

Other: Colored pencils and gemsol

I think the fish card was inspired by my trip.  I love to snorkel – one of my favorite things to do in the whole world.  Here is one picture from our trip to St. John – me hanging out with Kay and Audrey in our pool at our villa.  It felt like we were the only people on the island.  Love those girls and love that place.  (Oh, and by the way, this photo is true color – no editing.)

  3. First, that photo is gorgeous! What an amazing view! I want to go there now!!!

Great card – the video isn’t loading for me right now for some reason (sure it is an issue on my end, not yours). Will check it out later.

You are so good at enabling! 🙂 I will now HAVE to get the Four Bold Messages set (at the very least, anyway. Hee hee).

    As always, TFS!

  4. Such a cute card! Had to laugh at all your ‘lazy’ comments. Somehow I don’t picture you as being lazy. 🙂 I can see why you were inspired – looks like a heaven place to be!

  5. We are going on a cruise this year, Royal Caribbean. The boat goes to St. Thomas & St. Maarten. What is the name of the villa you stay at when going to St. John? That is so beautiful.

LOL 😉 “No fabulous techniques or ideas here”…ha!…just the coolest use of a circle punch I’ve seen in ages. And the way you made the splash from the other flourishy punch…your mind works in ways I can only dream of. Ahhh, it’s good to have you back girl! 🙂

  12. Welcome Home Jennifer! Fantastic..the view in that picture is Fantastic. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say “we can’t wait to see more.” How did Collin and the girls like the trip? The fishy card is adorable. I have to agree with other comments on the uniqueness of the way you used that punch. Who would have thought? Adorable card! I’m happy your back!

  14. I AM SO HAPPY YOU HAVE A BLOG! I just found it and I’m pretty sure I’m your biggest fan. (Even though I just realized you had a blog =/) The blogging world is NOW complete. =)

I used to only get CK because of your column. And then my subscription ran out. And this was after gas became $4.00 a gallon. So I didn’t re-subscribe. =/

Anywho.. LOVE your pages and your work and your faith in JC. So glad you have a blog. =)

  19. The cards is very cute – I just got that block stamp this week and made 6 cards with it for Cathy’s (at the HA Flickr) hospice fundraiser. LOVE that stamp, and here you are showing me another way to use it. Yaaaaaay!

I think there may be a problem with the video -it’s not showing up.
