Oh, boy…

… am I exhausted!  Was in Sacramento teaching just yesterday.  Took a very early train to Hero Arts today (near San Fran) for meetings and go back to Sacramento again tomorrow early to teach some more.  Have to do the Powerpoint presentation tonight.  Shh… don’t tell my boss that I haven’t done it yet.  Hee.

However, I loved the train ride and spent it looking out the window lots while editing video.  Hope to put one up Wednesday.  No time to load it tonight, but I thought I would share some old cards instead.  I promise to share more scrapbooking again soon. 🙂

Here are two collage cards I made back in the fall.  I love love love the collage look but have a hard time doing it.  But sometimes I get the itch and love to pretend I am the amazing Shari Carroll and try it.  🙂  You can see her much more amazing cards using this stamp HERE.

This first one is another example of colored pencils on Kraft.  Love the white pencil…

  1. From the looks of these two cards, it appears to come easy for you…so gorgeous! (But I know what ya mean, I struggle with it too.) I’m immediately writing down “white pencil on kraft” to try…love the look! Safe travels! 🙂

  2. I am so collage challenged!!! I love the creations that others make… yet, even with tutorials I still struggle! I’m left handed, and have a minor in Math… Perhaps my ‘linear’ side can’t handle it!
ps. I used to live in CA, 90 miles north of SAC and loved visiting the SAC area! The area down by the river is super fun (River Boats, etc). Also love the Capital, and the roses everywhere!
And the Sacramento River is my favorite river on the planet! I could watch it for hours… sigh..

  3. These cards are wonderful! I’m not great with collage – it intimidates me. But these look so nice – maybe I will give it another try. Love the white pencil on the Kraft paper. I will have to give it a try.

  4. Can’t wait for the video! I’ve enjoyed all the ones you’ve put on here. Thanks for making them. 🙂

  5. Don’t be modest–your collage cards look GREAT!
I’ll bet you miss your family already….Hope you are enjoying a little “getaway”, though….out of Mommy Mode for a few days and wear your Professional hat for the Powerpoint presentation!
    Safe travels!

  6. I love these too! The pencil crayon on the kraft paper looks awesome! I’ll have to give it a try. 🙂

  7. These cards are awesome! It doesn’t appear that you struggle with collage, but I, too, can commiserate – it’s just not in my (crafting) nature! LOL 😉 Loving the colored pencils on the Kraft paper. It totally pops – wow!

I’m getting a chuckle out of your PowerPoint comment. Reminds me of an episode of “The Office” where Michael had to give a PP presentation too, hee hee! 🙂
