Using Bookmarks

One of the coolest and most useful new features of my site is the ability to quickly save your favorite videos and blog posts as bookmarks in the site. With a single click of the mouse, you can add to your list of favorites.  It’s quicker than adding and managing browser bookmarks, and you’ll be able to see all your favorite posts and videos in one place!

If you haven’t created a login account for this site, take a moment to do so here. You’ll need an account to take advantage of Bookmarks, as that’s the only way we know who you are and can save the favorites posts!

The first place you’ve probably seen the “Bookmark” button is at the top of every blog post with the social icons. Every post has this, both new and old.

All you need to do is click the button and you’ve added your first bookmark! Find a favorite post, and give it a try!

To see your bookmarks, just click the icon next to the social icons on the top of any page.

You’ll be taken to a page that shows all your Bookmarks.

When viewing your list of bookmarks, you can click the image to directly watch the video.  You can also click the name of the post to view the entire blog entry. If you ever want to remove it, just click “Remove Bookmark”. This removal link will show up anywhere you can add to bookmarks. So it’s really easy to add or remove from favorite Bookmarks.

Or from within a post…

Another cool use for Bookmarks, and I think the best, is the ability to browse videos and store them in your Bookmarks list.  As part of the site, we also made all my old and new videos available and easily searchable from a single location. Just go to the Videos Gallery link on the toolbar and you will see a searchable list of techniques, themes and companies!

This is incredibly useful when you’re searching across a list of technique videos, and you want to keep track of cool ideas you want to try later.  Feel free to go crazy and add as many favorite videos that you want to view later!

If you’re reading a blog post that you think has a cool technique that you don’t want to forget, just mark it as a bookmark! If you’re searching videos that have cool techniques that you want to watch later, just mark it as a bookmark! This way you won’t have to manage all the videos and blog pages as browser bookmarks, which can easily get lost. Plus the favorites show up from any device, as long as you’re logged in. So create an account here if you don’t have one, and login to try the new feature!

Hope you enjoy!  Jen
