  1. I Loved your video however I tried to pull it up again and I am unable to do so. I would really like to watch it again and I had saved it however when I went back could not find it. Can you suggest how I might be able to get it back to my favorites?

  2. Amazing! I would love to see more videos using the gel plate…and never worry about them being long. This provided such great inspiration. Thank you, Jennifer!

  3. i’m so glad you did this. i forgot about my gelly plate. i used it lots in the past but not recently and i can use oxides with it now – yippee! when i first used it my younger son loved it and her did some great prints as like you said they have no fear. in fact i used one of his prints as a background to my blog. thank you for all your inspiration and creativity. you have been a great light during these dull and dark months, crafty hugs Theresa xx

  4. Thanks for filling my head and heart full of creativity and kindness instead of anxieties and stress. Life goes back to normal after a cup of JMInk!

  5. I don’t have a gel press but your statement that it was like a large background/cling stamp made me pull out one and try the same techniques It worked! Some have the imprint of the stamp due to the picture printed on the background stamp but even that is cool. It depended on how much ink I used. Try if you do t have a gel press. 🙂

  6. More gel press videos? Yes, please! Thanks for this great video. I’ve always been intimidated by the gel press but now that I see how easy it is to use I can hardly wait to try it. I think it would make perfect backgrounds for my Thanksgiving cards. My head is spinning with other ideas, too. Thanks for sharing your experimentation with this great tool!

  7. These are AMAZING!! I’ve been toying with the idea of using gel press for some time now but never really knew what to do with them…. well now I have loads of ideas! I particularly like the idea of using a background stamp over a stencil before laying the card down! I mean, mind blown! Thank you Jennifer for another wonderfully inspiring video! 😁 xx

    1. …….also, more videos? Yes please! It would be sooo helpful to have one about stamping with them! 😁 thank you xx

  8. Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for another most wonderful video! I can’t believe that this is your first time using the gel press. Your prints are gorgeous, as are your cards.
I am also a big fan of printing and have more prints than time to make good use of them… In any case, I thought I would share with you that you can also use your alcohol inks on the gel press if you put down a very thin layer of a clear gel medium first, brayer this on then add alcohol inks and have fun.
Wishing you and yours a very happy Labor Day long weekend,
    Caroline

  9. Hi Jennifer… would love more gel press videos and thanks for sharing this beginner one. I wanted to give this a try but had given away all my acrylic paints and did not want to buy them again… enter your video using distress oxide inks. Needless to say I immediately ordered a gel press and have had a blast today creating prints. I also had a couple of pigment inks from Avery Elle and they worked beautifully. I get so excited with the results I’m getting… so glad you challenged us to give it a try. SUPER FUN!

PS… I may just have to buy some paint… no turning back 🙂

  10. Jennifer, thank you so much for trying the gel press. I had seen it on cards but didn’t know how it worked.
I would be very interested in more videos using it. You always make it fun and educational.
    I love the look…

  11. I just purchased a gel press after seeing this video and was able to play with it this afternoon. I love the technique, and would definitely like more videos and ideas for using the gel press. I had all the Distress Oxide ink colors you mentioned., as well as a Brayer I bought at least ten years ago.,so it didn’t cost me much money to get started.
I’m still loving the background technique you showed awhile back using large background stamps to do a resist, then smearing several colors of distress oxide ink cubes over the resist, they spraying with pearlized water or just water, then finishing it by ironing it. i found using the plain water worked the best for me, then I sprayed the finished cards with shimmer spray. So easy and so beautiful1

  12. Thanks so much for the ideas and good on you for trying this! I have a Gelli printing plate for a long time, but haven’t used it in a while. I didn’t know about the Oxid inks, so will definitely give this a go. Would love to see more ideas this it.

  13. I ordered my Gel Press plate after watching your video. I’m anxious to try your version using Oxides instead of acrylic paint. I look forward to your videos!!

  14. Great video. I’ve had a gel plate for years, too, but never used it. Can’t wait to try it. Thanks for taking the mystery out of the process.

  15. I’ve been a bit intimidated by gel press but you certainly show you can start off “small” and work you way up. Hmmm….. 🙂

  16. Help please! Have watched the video with the gel press and leaves/foil idea, but can’t seem to understand what you are incasing them in before putting them into the laminator. Looks like interfacing type of material but I don’t think it is. Love all the videos and wish that there were more hours in a day to try all the wonderful ideas.

  17. Jennifer
You MUST go watch Lydia Fiedler at understandblue.blogspot!
Her video on sep 11 will blow your mind!
She is a genius with the gel press and has lots of videos you will LOVE and be so inspired- as I always am by you
    🙂

  18. I’ve had my gel press for years. It’s still in the package. You have encouraged me to get it out and make up a great art class for my grandchildren.

  19. Thank you Jennifer for this great video. My New Year’s resolution for 2021 is to not buy a lot of new dies and stamps this year. I want to try and use the products that I have. Based upon this video and the one using the gel press and dies, I purchased a gel press. I figure it’s a way for me to feel excited about the products that I have currently in my stash but using a new tool to live in things up. As always your videos are fabulous.

  20. With regards to Foiling, I dont have a Glimmer Machine or a Laminator, you mentioned you could do Foiling using your Die cut machine – can you please do a video with some card examples please, I have a set of Foils I’d love to use on cards.
Thanks for your inspirational videos and calm narrative
