  1. Wow – sometimes I think we forget acknowledge how creative you actually are Jennifer. It’s amazing the amount of work you put in your videos/blog/fb etc… I will make a card and it will take me forever to come up with a concept I am happy with… you are taking a technique and come up with a myriad of versions and interpretations and even run out of time in finishing some of your ideas…. all this as well as film, edit, voice over, publish…… I hope you know how amazing you are 🙂 thank you for sharing your God given gift

  2. I am head over heels in love with those cards! What a fun way to use up designer papers which I have a tendency to overlook!! I haven’t paper-pieced in forever!! Thanks for the reminder, Jennifer!! Will definitely look at my background papers with a different eye!! You are BLESSING!

  3. WOW – all of these cards are simply amazing. I especially love the heart florals and the colored pencils and crayons.

  4. Thanks for opening up a whole new world for me and my stash of pattern papers! Now I have a way to send these pretty papers into the world and share some joy.

  5. I love the video where you give ideas for using scraps. Oh my I have so many and this is very helpful. My mind is going to fast in thinking up ideas for using them. Thank you. You are very creative and very helpful.

  6. Jennifer you are just amazing… the time, energy and love you put into your cards is inspiring. I sure every teacher who receives one of these will be blessed by it and keep it forever. You mention once that you thought you might want to teach math and coming from a retired math teacher I think you would be an excellent teacher. I love this idea of using patterned papers in this way and my mind was going through my stash of dies I could use as I watched. Thank you again and again for sharing your talent with us.

  7. Another fun idea I will have to try. I am beginning to think I’ll have to live to be 100 to try all your great ideas. Thank you and keep them coming!

  8. I truly enjoyed your video! What wonderful inspiration and it came at a good time. I am heading out for a weekend retreat with friends in a week and my goal this year was to have things prestamped etc so I could cut way down on what I need to haul along. This is perfect! I can sit and visit and fussy cut! Love it! I’m also going to do some card stitching 😉
One more thing, as the parent of a teacher son, I think your notes are such a beautiful blessing. He truly is touched when a parent takes the time to write a note of thanks or encouragement. You are a great role model for all of us!

  9. Love this technique. I have so many patterned papers and never seem to use them, unless it is a “theme” background like hearts for Valentines Day. I love the elephant card and it would make a great kid’s birthday card. I’m trying this for sure. Thank you, once again, for your great tips.

  10. I just wanted to take some time to tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos. It shows how much time and effort you put into your tutorials and your passion about crafting shows. Thank you for sharing these techniques!

  11. Oh my goodness, Just when I think you have given me all the ideas in the world, YOU come back with yet another wonderful design. I love, love, love the crayon cards, and am happy to see you doing the embossing! I love to emboss and think that shiny black outline helps give accent to many pieces. Thank you again, Jen, for being you and doing what you do. Big huggssss. (PS I am a jigsaw puzzle nut, so the paper piecing is right up my alley!)

  12. Jennifer, I love all the cards you paper pieced. My favorites are the Let’s Stick Together cards and the Floral Heart cards. And I also love the way you stamped your envelopes. Where do you buy your envelopes? I didn’t see them in the supply list.
    Thanks so much for sharing!

  13. Thank you for the great ideas. I love them all, but especially the Honey Bee Brilliant Day Stamp Set which I purchased recently but haven’t used yet. Since my husband is a 5th grade teacher, I make school theme cards for his co-workers often. I also purchased 6 packages of Sunny Studio patterned papers last month, so it’s a perfect timing! Thank you again for the wonderful inspiration as always!

  14. As soon as I saw the email for this post, and the number of cards you had included, I thought “Yay, a long video!!!” 🙂 You are amazing.

  15. Wow – these are fabulous and you surely have lots of patience. Just beautiful. I agree, the iCrafter mini brushes were one of my favorite finds at Creativation as well (but there were certainly other stand outs ). So clever.

  16. These are just stunning, and you were right, when you started cutting off the tips I was beginning to wonder…..but the results are amazing. You are such a great artist and I hope you are able to keep that at the front of your mind if ever those mean trolls come your way. Thank you for all the inspiration you provide, you reach people in ways you don’t even know. 🙂

  17. Awesome idea, I have a lot of pattern paper that I don’t use, I just forget to use them. This looks so great, the cards are beautiful and a little colour you put on to stand out a little bit more is the finishing tough for the image.
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put in these stunning videos and the way you always share your great work. Have a wonderful weekend.

  18. My favorite Jennifer post ever. I have so many 6×6 papers I’ve hoarded. This technique would be perfect-and they are all delightful.

  19. I have done a little of patterned paper pieceing (think a girl’s dress). But this goes to a whole new level. I love it!
    Thanks so much.

  20. You are amazing! To make all those teacher cards is You living up to be a true example of kindness! Years ago, a friend and I made glass magnets for all the teachers where my daughter was teaching. The teachers loved them, but we rewarded, too, just by the feeling of accomplishing something that brought smiles to so many others. You know, those warm fuzzies. . . .
When I first started stamping some 10 or more years ago, I was afraid of coloring, still am, but I did paper piecing instead. I’d completely forgotten that! Thank you so much for kick-starting my memory! Fussy cutting IS much more therapeutic than coloring! Hugz!

  21. Perfect timing! I was just thinking what I should do with my pattern paper. Love all cards, they turned out fantastic and teachers will love them for sure. Thanx again for taking time to create this awesome video for us 🙂

  22. Thank you for this post, Jennifer! I would much rather paper-piece an image than color it, but I’d forgotten that! I love all your examples, and can’t wait to go look at my stamps now with new eyes!

  23. I love, love, love this technique. I made several cards right away and they came out beautiful! I , too, like to cut out paper so this really fits my interest.

  24. Thanks for the great video. All of your cards are fabulous but I must admit I am in love with the ones for the teachers. Each one is like a little gift. It would take me forever to do all that, let alone all the fussy cutting.
