Hello and welcome back. I am really excited about today’s video because I show how to get a new look from die cuts… by using them as stencils!

I really enjoy using dies… especially layering dies. However, due to their higher price point, it is important to me that I come up with many ways to use them. Today I show how to use die cuts as stencils. This would even work great for one layer cards! The video explains the process.

Here are the cards from my video along with the main products featured. For the full supply list, scroll down to the thumbnails at the end of this post.

    1. I am already looking though me dies to see what I can try to do this!! So beautiful how they come out! Thank you for sharing and I hope you start feeling better soon! 💕

  1. Love these cards Jennifer. Where did the card bases come from; the colours you used are so pretty? Hope you are feeling better soon.

  2. That brush is so fancy! 🙂 Great cards and techniques. I didn’t realise you could use pixie spray on paper!
And please don’t apologise for your voice. I often have you playing in the background when I am tidying my craftroom, it’s always a pleasure to listen to you! Hope you feel better soon.

  3. Thanks for sharing your clever techniques for using dies – so excited to try this now with my dies. Thanks for the inspiration.
Enjoy your nap – Feel better soon:)

  4. Very pretty. I like making stencils using my dies. I cut them out of medium weight Yupo paper so I can reuse them over and over. Feel better soon.

  5. Get well Jennifer. There are a lot of germs running around. I’m glad you made a video even though you aren’t up to par. TY. I had to giggle when you assembled your last card upside down. I’ve done that also, then just cut it off at the fold and glue it to another card base. It looks like it was supposed to be that way. The Birch Press Flora Heart Layering Dies are nice. I don’t have layering dies, but that would be one I’d buy.

  6. Hi Jennifer I hope you feel better soon!! I love this technique so much I bought Honey Bees Winter Prism die. I really like your videos that show us how to get more uses out of dies. Don’t feel bad about your upside down card. Your not feeling well and when I try to hurry I mess up every time. Thank you for this video!!

  7. Great video ! I don’t have any layered dies right now but this video definitely got me interested. Happy to learn of that adhesive spray. It is definitely on my need it list.

  8. Feel better, Jennifer! Those germies are getting the best of us! Thanks for sharing another winner! This is so awesome and love the results and doesn’t look very difficult at all…You are BLESSING!

Do you know if the Pink and Main blending brush will be available in the UK?
Hope you are feeling better soon

  12. Awesome techniqur Jennifer, the cards you made are gorgeous.
My favorites are the ones with the background layering dies.
I don’t have layering dies but I have some background dies I not often use, thsi

  14. Praying you get feel better real soon. I want to thank you for leaving the mistake you did on the last card. I can’t tell you how many cards I do like that. I am getting real good at taking the top layer off most times

    Beautiful cards.

Thanks for all the time and effort you put in to make these videos for us. I do appreciate it.

  15. Super Great vid!! I’ve been doing this with my dies all month!! Must be some new trend or something (well it will be now, with your vid 😂) I usually use yupo, so they’re more semi-permanent!!
Your cards are sooo beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!!

  16. What crazy fun! Love all that inky goodness! Glad you are feeling better! Thanks for taking the time to share with us!

  17. These are so beautiful! I hope you are feeling better. I do have a couple of questions – what die cut heart are you using and what are the gems on the last card? They look a bit different than what you typically use. Thank you!
